Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Anatola
FEMALE - EIGHT - LOVELESS – BOUND TO MITHOS - LONER (HEALER)

Anatola did spend a great deal of time in the forested areas. More so recently than before with the changes in the moorland back. The three-legged female didn't venture near its outskirts like she used to, even if there were useful plants for her to use. So, she went where the life was. She rarely stayed out more than a couple days before returning to her little nook in The Grotto. The black and white female had debated moving towards Glorall, but that area made her only slightly less uncomfortable than Iromar.

The dual colored woman moved along this night. It was rare she was out and about after the sun had set, mostly because much of her preferred herbs and plants were easier to spy in daylight hours. But she had taken to some more investigating lately and discovered there were some useful flowers that only bloomed at night. She had hopes to find some of them in the Woodlands. Ana wasn't too hopeful though, as sometimes it was either the wrong time of year, or the plant was not native to the region. It never hurt to look though.

She paused briefly. Taking a moment to take in the smells around her. Distinguishing between plant and animal. Then between the different plant life. Trees, grass, brush, the fragrant flowers. But she was looking something specific. She had only come across it once before and heard tales of its uses, but now, Ana was comfortable enough in her ability to begin using it for herself, for there were parts of plants that were toxic in too large of a dose.

Ana's tail twitched slightly. There. She adjusted course towards her left. The woman padded along, moving towards the scent. Even as she approached, the petals were beginning to open. "No wonder they call you stink weed," she said aloud to herself, the strong odor of the moonflower reaching her nostrils. Better a pungent smell with properties to help than something that did nothing and was obtuse to the senses.

The healer scrunched her nose slightly as she got closer, examining a small patch of Datura flowers, trying to determine the best way to pick them without it being problematic for herself. And did she really want to smell like these things on a regular basis? A small price to pay. It wasn't like Ana was fragrant smelling anyway, with many a bitter herb smell clinging to her fur.

In the midst of her determining the best course, her ears twitched. But not at a sound, but a feeling. Ana cast a glance around. She didn't see him, but her imprint was definitely close. What was he doing in the forest? Wasn't Mithos more of a star gazer? Her yellow gaze drifted upwards. Not here he wouldn't, not with the thick tree canopy. She looked back to the flowers. They could wait. It's not like they were going anywhere. Ana padded off in the direction she felt most inclined to go. It was not long before she spotted him. A warm smile creased her maw. It definitely had been a few seasons since she'd seen Mithos, but their bond aside, Mithos seemed a genuine wolf, and the sort who cared.

No doubt he continued to worry over her moving through the free lands, helping where she could, even as other beasts crawled out of the woodwork. Darkminded creatures didn't scare her. She had grown up among such monsters. They were just another wolf who bled just as readily as the next. Still, she was truly happy to seem him with all the uproar and upheaval happening. "Looks like we've found each other again," Ana said with a wave of her tail, "I hope you aren't trying to stalk me." It was a small joke, recalling what he had told her regarding his parents. She knew he wasn't, but hopefully it would bring a smile to his face.
