Kajika had indicated he would stay near the Silverknife, at least for a little while. He was curious about this... tool of the Darkbringer.. Apep... Whatever he was called. The Pharaoh called him Apep, so that is what he would be. A serpent indeed. He had lingered for a moment, watching Natiya from afar. He guessed she had expected him to depart as a continued shadow to Sekhmet. True, he did linger near the behemoth's shadow, but each time he did, he picked up on something new. A nuance in body language, tones of voice. Even the softest of a growl or a slight shift in body weight that was only visible to the careful observer.
The brindle and white boy was rounding the pond when she rose. His ears laid back briefly, of course someone else had shown up. The Pharaoh's brother. Kajika knew that much from his smell and the pack gathering shortly after everyone's arrival. No, Ripper's presence would not deter him. In fact, maybe it would be helpful as he drew up nearer to them, settling just off to the side of them, making a neat little triangle to their little group.
A small smile tugged his lips at the nervous tones of her voice. That was interesting. Was it the lack of the Darkbringer, or simply how she felt in the presence of the larger male? It was information tucked away. A hunter being aware of his current prey. "Forgive my intrusion, Ripper. This... Silverknife is intriguing. I wish to observe, and perhaps learn a few things," he said. His quiet tenors seemed to barely disturb the air around him. There was more to his words than was said.
Kajika might be a hunter, but a hunter must be mindful of all variables. That included all wolves. If Pharaoh and Apep were to remain on good terms, then he would cause no trouble, but if they were disagreed and things went foul, the brindle and white youth would at least know how to help regarding those close to a possible enemy. He wanted to know why she was a tool for another wolf, rather than her own cutting edge.
