Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

Knowing the decision that my daughters had made filled me with a great sense of pride. Their intent to rule side by side was unconventional, something different than had perhaps ever been done in Moladion. Sisters, sharing the role and responsibilities that came with it, rather than a mated pair. It was a solution that I had to admit I'd not fully considered myself. I was glad they had chosen it, though, for it allowed both of them their pride and did not take away from the work they had each done for the pack. And as for the pack, it could certainly only benefit the whole to have two strong women leading them. After all, two strong hearts and minds were better than one, were they not?

The change had not required much adjustment for the pack - a good number of them had been part of the pack when Nymeria had been my named heir, and those who had not seem to trust in Kalseru's judgment all the same. They were both of my blood, even if they were not full sisters, and each had her strengths to lend to leading the pack. Still, I paced through the pack lands with an ear to the wind, curious if there were any who were finding the change disruptive. So far I had not felt any disturbances among the population, and for that I was glad. What I did hear, however, was a lifting song that immediately struck a chord in my heart. Lifting my head, my dark ears pricked forward as I listened to his melodic tones. I would know my brother's beautiful voice anywhere - and yet, something seemed different.

Though his call had been for the girls, it was I who raised my voice in answer. He was their uncle in every sense, having helped to train Kalseru and being a male figure that Nymeria had often looked up to in her youth, but he was my brother. And it had been far too long since we had last seen one another. So I howled out, conveying the message that I would be with him soon. Of course as alphas of these lands Kalseru and Nymeria would be welcome as well, but knowing how consuming the role could be better than most, it would also mean one less thing for them to tend to this day. Setting off at a jog, I made my way down through the foothills and closer to him.

Time and distance had separated us for much too long, but it seemed that that was simply the way of life for me. Any male of importance in my life had left in one way or another, but there was no enmity in my heart in regards to Taliesin's departure. It had been fortunate, after all, that his imprint Solara's rise to power had been contemporaneous with my own fall from power, affording us safe haven in Diveen during that time. Not to mention the resultant nieces and nephew I'd gained. Though I missed having Taliesin around to lean on in times of struggle, the life he had carved out for himself in Diveen was something he truly deserved. I was happy for him.

As he came into view, I did not slow, keeping up my jogging pace as I approached. The slight hitch in my gait made my movement less smooth and flowing than it had once been, but none of that mattered. A smile spread across my features, though the worrisome expression he held made my brows knit together with concern. Slowing to a walk, I brushed my shoulder against his in greeting before stepping back and lifting my head slightly. "Taliesin, brother, how are you?" My tail waved out behind me, joyous to see him, and yet I could tell that something was not quite right about this visit.
