The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Anatola
FEMALE - EIGHT - LOVELESS – BOUND TO MITHOS - LONER (HEALER)

Anatola was making her return journey to the Grotto where she had set up shop and gotten quite comfortable with her living space there. The Grotto might not have been centrally located in Moladion, but it was a bit safer. Her little nook was more than enough space for her and a couple patients, those needing a safe place while they mended or she personally tended to the injuries. Plus, given she had chosen a spot with an upper opening, the healer had a place to store both dried herbs and other plants that did well in a slightly damp environment.

The three legged woman padded along. Her awkward gait enough to alert someone of her presence if her scent didn't already do so. Even when the wind was still, the black and white female had a strong smell of herbs. Off putting at times to some, but it was a testament to her craft, and that she was quite capable with her skills. She moved through the network, following her northern path. These took her a bit deeper to get around to her space, but it was still a fair decision to make. After all, sometimes a wolf broke their leg in the dark spaces of these caverns. She did it to ensure no one died down here.

Her thoughts lingered on Mithos for a time as she walked. Her yellow eyes light up just thinking about him. Oh, how he worried. She could feel it when they were closer, but she most definitely assured him that she was safe and doing just fine despite her physical limitations. Her tail swayed back and forth, still smiling all the while. She was distracted enough in her thoughts that she almost didn't notice someone else was lurking about.

She turned a dimly lit corner and caught a small motion out of the corner of her yellow eyes. Ana tilted her head slightly as she paused, taking a moment to focus on the younger female to her left. "Hello there. Didn't expect anyone else to be lurking down here," she said with a wave of her tail. Hopefully she hadn't startled the younger woman.
