Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

OOC: Strictly a massive single post of an interaction between these two for information/knowledge purposes.

Arturio was on his way out of Glorall. Everything seemed to be going well for the pups, with Eden, and Nari. Good, as long as they were all well, he was not too worried. He had already visited Diveen to see his friend Azariah. His next step was to head to Spirane and likely linger in the freelands for a little while so long as nothing else impacted that decision. The white male was about to cross the threshold of Glorall when a lithe grey figure crossed his path.

Matianak stopped intentionally before the larger male, blocking his path. "Well, well, how the mighty fall," the woman said with a sly smile. Her pale blue eyes looked him over, noting he actually was not as injured as she would have thought for someone who had just lost their pack in recent days.

Arturio bared his fangs. She might be of Glorall, but he could smell Blackthorne on her. He didn't know the relationship, but it was irrelevant. In his gut, he immediately did not trust her. "That implies having fallen. Yet here I stand," he growled, his tone warning her to not try and push his buttons.

The woman eased a little closer, having gotten a hint of him in Asteraia from where she was returning. She kept her smile, not the least bit concerned of what he may or may not do. If he was as honorable as the rumors stated, then Matianak had little to fear. Her ears flicked slightly. "Then why does the mighty king return to Glorall? Not seeking a different crown?" she purred.

"Hardly... Eden is quite competent. Merely checking in on a friend and her family," he said, intentionally not giving much away. This woman was definitely not on his list of trustworthy wolves having only just crossed her path. His single ear laid back. He definitely did not need the world knowing it was his imprint and her children that he visited.

Matianak gave a small laugh, inclining her head at his words. The Northern King had genuine attachment to someone here. That was information to keep well tucked away. "Well then, safe travels to you, oh mighty King. May darkness never creep on your door," she said with a coy smile before stepping around the white man, leaving too small a gap as she passed to dare him to try something, allowing her fur to brush against his.

Arturio bristled, not liking her so close, but glad she was willing to depart quickly. The White Knight followed her movements for a moment before heading out.

Not much was said, but there was more than enough that Matianak was able to infer out of his words. This would make life interesting for the both of them, Arturio just didn't know it yet.
