Fighting to gain or defend a pack was a time honored tradition in these lands, and yet in recent years howls of challenge had become something of the past. More often than not it seemed that packs were passed off to friends or family when their leader was no longer fit to rule, or else taken over by brute force. While the former was a thing to be admired - creating a standing a peace within Moladion - the latter's growing commonplace was concerning. Twice in my lifetime Iromar had been taken by force. Would power hungry wolves like the usurpers of old turn their eyes to Spirane again someday? My legs tensed slightly as I stood tall. Together, Kalseru and I would ensure our family was not displaced again.
