A Dream of You & Me - " />

Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.

All that glitters is gold; don't believe what you've been told.

Soft warming rays filtered through the canopy of the thinning trees and below it the undergrowth. It touched against the soft palate of agouti crèmes and alabaster robes than cloaked the sleeping cervidae. The sun’s light fought away the cooling touch of autumn’s fingertips against that brushed against her time and time again. Had she been smart the woman would have found some sort of cavern to cloister herself away in, instead she had chosen to brave the open depths of the evergreen forests by claiming residence in hardly more than a carved out bush. Through those blistering months of spring and summer it had been a well picked choice in housing, but now the young crowned woman was beginning to realize she needed to find a more suitable homestead for the coming winter season. Lest she dare to face the chilliest day with nothing but her wintry coat, which she had inherited from her father’s arctic genes. A thick, voluptuous coat was beginning to thicken over her withers and rump most noticeably; elsewhere it was only tell-tale by the loss of definition in her musculature beneath those layers of brindled pelt. Unless one took a good hard look at her, Sabelle could have been nothing more than a curvaceous fae, helplessly left to fend for herself.

How ironic though and god help the poor brute who mistook her one day.

Today would not be that though, for as the sun rose so did Sabelle—beginning her routine morning ritual. Slowly limbs unfurled and stretched forth, claws digging into the soft earth and her rump rising into the air as the snap and pop of her spine broke the morning silence. A contented sigh left her lips as she pulled up onto all four paws, evenly balanced out. Sabelle shook out the fine layer of dust that had settled, before flicking her tail to rid the last of it from her pelt. Pallid paws stepped out into the broad daylight, exposing her to the freshly dawned earth. The pillars atop her crown flicked listening for sounds of the morning prey and what might potentially become her breakfast, but today it was oddly silent save the soft cooing of the doves and chattering squirrels in the trees. Sabelle had to forgo her breakfast for the moment, but she slipped away into the undergrowth to begin her exercise rituals. A light jog with whatever maneuvering skills she had to practice to avoid crashing or face planting into the dirt as she had done so many times before.

Sabelle felt the slow release of the lactic acid that had built up in her muscles as she trotted away, and after a few minutes she knew that her limbs were properly warmed up. She broke into a lope, slowly gathering speed as she raced with grace through the undergrowth dodging, leaning, and ducking as needed. The beat in her chest was quick paced, but she still felt comfortable. She broke into a gallop, the woodlands blurring into a palette of earthen tones and verdant hues. A fallen log suddenly broke the scenery and Sabelle leapt. Her hind legs pressed down with immense pressure, building until she released it feeling all of her paws leave the ground. Time seemed to slow as she watched the log pass below her and the ground came rushing back to her. Her forelimbs outstretched to touch that soft soil. She felt the impact in her joints as she landed, but in proper technique it was not painful. But unlike before she did not go crashing into the terra, instead she skidded to halt and turned on a dime to look back at that log. A smirk tweaked her lips and a small laugh escaped her, before she rerouted herself back towards home.

The jog back was slower and much more relaxed so as to allow her muscles to cool down after such heated exertion. Glimmering orbs of hazel watched the terra pass by, seeing no sign of an easy catch, she decided that maybe she would practice her fishing skills today. Something she had not done in quite a while. She arrived home in good time and bathed quickly in the steadily cooling waters of the stream. She shivered after shaking out the remnants of water, but the rumble of her stomach made her more preoccupied with finding something to eat. She wandered a little ways downstream to find some tidal pools formed by outcroppings of rocks that blocked the flow of steady water. And it was not long before Sabelle pulled two fish from the watery surface, cleaned and gutted them to her liking. Happily munching on this quick, albeit small breakfast she did not notice the approach of another. Excuse me, miss… This may seem strange to ask, but… does your name happen to be Sabelle? A paw wiped away the remnants of fish from her mouth, before her crown turned to see who it was that had approached.

Sabelle almost spit out her food, when she saw the wolfess standing before her. She was by all means a standing replicate of Pierce, which unsettled Sabelle to her core. And if I am, who is it that calls upon me? What interest should I take in a stranger like yourself? Sabelle did not know she was looking at her own sister, for how could she? She had no memories of her, only the vague knowledge that somewhere in this world her sister existed, probably in perfect bliss with the woman who was her biological mother. Sabelle had forgotten about that part of her family though, because she had found her mother in Athene. She had grown up as a singular pup raised in a conflicted home, where love was not defined by standard methodology. And only recently had she tapped into the emotions she had long since locked away, but only for Athene, and now they were safely cloistered away once more. So she reacted to this wolfess as she would any stranger who’s path she crossed, indifferent and somewhat cold.

People lie, people love, people go, but beauty lies in every soul.
