Gone was the one wolf that Perdere had called friend in all of these lands. Xarxes had been much like him - darkness laid claim to his heart, to both of their‘s hearts. And though their fantasies had been different, they had been able to share in a murder together. It had been intimate event, one that brought the two closer, into a partnership. There was nothing romantic in the way they felt about each other, only the desire for kinship, brotherhood. And yet, now, Xarxes was gone. He had left with no word a goodbye, and perhaps that was fitting. And also fitting, was the fact that Perdere never went searching for him. They were not so close as to worry about each other. No, pleasure and sadism were the only things that they shared… But it was odd now, really, how lonely Perdere had felt. He had even been without the company of Akuji for a long time as well - the birthright owner of the body that Perdere ruled had seemingly given up fully. Pradera had felt Akuji‘s heartbreak when Katia had left too. She had promised never to leave him, to be by his side her forever… And she had broken it. Akuji had given up any fight he had left to keep Perdere chained up, and it had been as easy to shove Akuji into the cage of the mind that had once been Perdere’s home... as it would have been to slice the flesh of a pup.

And thus, Perdere had been lonely. It was odd, really, an odd feeling. One he had never experienced before, mainly because he had never allowed another in. Farant had created him, and controlled him, and so back then there had been no time for camaraderie... but now that he had had it, he missed it. He wanted it back. For a few moments, he thought that he would perhaps be able to make friends with the vampire queen… And then the news of her death had spread, as had the ascension of Diosa to the throne with a stranger backing her, whispering in her ear. The demon knew that Diosa held no darkness in her heart despite her vampiric nature, that she was a gentle soul that fed only when she needed to, and not for the joy of it. And if she continue to rule… There was no way that Perdere would be able to stay here. He needed a place where the ruler accepted and understood his darkness, perhaps even shared in it. And perhaps that was what he had been looking for all this time - acceptance.

And so while he still belonged to the vampire pack, he had been exploring, searching out the other lands… And that had been when he had come upon the other kalaks. He had been out numbered with they had encircled him. He had not recognized any of them, but the scent of Beiro on the lead female was unmistakable, as was the scent of Faraway on all of them. Perdere had sneered and cheekily asked if she was Beiro’s spawn or his whore… That had not been quite the right question. Her apparent bodyguards had attacked him, leaving long cuts down his flesh. Perdere had made the assumption of daughter then… And the leader had raised her brows. She had introduced yourself as Ainae Jozuko, and called out his name, his true name. Perdere had no way of knowing how she knew it was he and not Akuji. After all, he thought that he had perfected imitated his other half without flaw, but apparently not. And then she had shared a dangerous secret to him, something that had angered and shook Perdere to his core. She knew his bondage word, that would tie him to her for forever. Perdere had snarled and snapped at her and she had merely laughed. She was willing to make a deal apparently - if he brought the heirs to her for judgment and death, she would spare him. Because although Perdere, or rather in this case Akuji, was of royal blood and in the direct line to the throne, he had long ago been exiled from the land and held no claims nor ties anymore. The only title he held was assassin… Perdere had slowly nodded in agreement - his one rule had always been that he did not touch children… but enough time must have passed by now for them to have grown. And though they were related genetically to his body, they were Akuji‘s sister‘s kin, not Pradera‘s. He explained that he did not know if any were alive. And Ainae had shrugged - she knew for a fact that at least Tiresias was alive, and she at least needed proof of his death. He was the only one who truly mattered, being the true heir. Thusly a deal was struck - Perdere‘s life for that of Tiresias. As soon as the circle opened, Perdere was running, sniffing out his prey. Or rather, really any kalak. He had no love for the people of Akuji, and did not consider them his own people. They were, all of them, dark misleading and cruel, without any loyalty above to themselves. perhaps that was the pot calling the kettle black, but Perdere had morals and a set of laws that he followed. Moreover, he resented the games that they so often played, and knew full well that this itself was likely a game as well.

That had been what led him to the river, what led him to finding the sister of Tiresias. He had been stalking her for sometime, but it was now, when she least expected it, but he would strike. She has drank from the cool waters and then gone to find rest in the bowels of the cave nearby. With all the patience in the world, he had waited until she laid down and then some, until he was sure she was asleep. The brute crypt closer, toward the cavern’s mouth, until he was sure that he heard snoring coming from within. Then, and only then, did he slide in position himself behind her his jaws open and hovering above her nape.

Good morning princess.

His vocals were cold and cool and calculated, and he waited for her to abruptly sit up and slam directly into his weed and grasp.
