Faeyra stayed close to Thyri, contented with the silence for the moment. She would have liked to have... well, liked the woman she was guarding, but at least Thyri was tolerating her for the most part. It could be worse, she thought, all things considered. Though she remained alert, she felt herself relaxing as they rode. It had been too long since she'd been outdoors like this. Seven was steady beneath her, no doubt equally pleased to be put through her paces; Zohar did her best, of course, but it wasn't quite the same. Faeyra blinked when Thyri spoke, turning her purple gaze from their surroundings to the beautiful woman astride the beautiful horse for a moment.

"Back home my name was Lady Faeyra RedSea," she replied politely; a small smile tugged at the corners of her lips. "But here I'm just Faeyra."

Her small smile turned into a real grin at Thyri's suggestion. "Of course, my lady," Faeyra replied, a vaguely teasing undertone in her voice.

Exhilaration flooded her as they picked up their pace, Seven managing to stay just a bit behind Gyllir. He was a fantastic beast, one of the most beautiful stallions she'd seen in quite some time, and Faeyra very much enjoyed seeing him in action. She was slightly breathless, unable to hide her grin, when they slowed once again.

"I'll be twenty next month. I've only been with the Alliance a short time, about a year now, but I acted as a bodyguard for a number of years before that." Her gaze snapped upwards at a man's shout, her smile fading into a business-like mask. She shifted positions, moving between Thyri and the oncoming person.

"Halt!" she barked commandingly. She slipped her crossbow from her back, keeping it lowered for now. "State your purpose!"

A large man stepped free from the wood, an annoyed expression on his face. At his waist... Faeyra felt disgust curl in the pit of her stomach: it could only be a unicorn horn. A poacher, then. She lifted the crossbow, expression still neutral as she waited for the man to speak. Her priority now wasn't catching the man - appalling though she found him - but rather getting her charge to safety. But if he thought she'd let it go... Her gaze hardened.
