At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

”I Can Bleed if I Want to Bleed; ”I Can Feel if I Feel the Need

The young femme panted heavily as she was dislodged from the mud, apologizing for dirtying the male that had come to rescue her. But he shook it aside, as if he didn’t care that his pelt was speckled and stained with muck. She gave him another smile as the spoke, her whole body warming up the longer that she was near him. She had never had a crush on another wolf before, so all of the feelings that she was going through were foreign to her. But they were good feelings. They were not something that she didn’t want to ever stop. When Hondo continued speaking, asking about what skills she had or didn’t have, a frown appeared on her features. Did he want them to already split up even though they had only just met? She didn’t want him to go away, even if it was because neither of them knew how to survive out here. But he quickly made it clear that that was not the case, and the smiler returned to her features once more. As long as the two of them stuck together it would be fine, they could figure out how to survive and wouldn’t need anyone else in their lives. Missandei felt as long as she was with Hondo then there was nothing else in the world that mattered.

When the brown mottled femme stepped away from her rescuer for a moment, she noticed the way his features changed, just like hers did, and she smiled to herself. Maybe he had similar feelings to what she was feeling? But she didn’t think on it too much, and turned back to face him when she reached the spot that he had come in from. Hondo had gotten here after Missandei, so maybe his scent would still be lingering on the trees and brush that he had come through. She had never tried to track something before, and it seemed like Hondo hadn’t either, but maybe between both of their young noses they would figure it out and find their way back. And it seemed that the young brute was on board as well since he invited her to come back home with him. “…So what do you say, Missandei? ” For a moment her face turned down in a frown again. Was she allowed to go and visit another pack? What about her own mother, father and siblings? She had wanted to go out on an adventure and explore the world, but she didn’t expect to go to another pack with another wolf. But at the same time, now that she had met Hondo she didn’t want to leave him.

The femme was distracted from her thoughts though when the brute jumped and landed in front of her, rump in the air and plume wagging. A giggle escaped her lips as she made an attempt at a growl, leaping at him playfully as she laughed and tried to jump on him. She couldn’t believe that she thought of parting ways with him, there was no way that she could do that. Even after a few moments with him was enough to know that she wanted to stay with him forever. ”Yah, I’ll go with you! It can be a new adventure!” She spoke between tackling him and laughing. She turned and ran to the trees, plume wagging behind her as she turned to see if he was coming. Missandei wasn’t sure if Hondo knew the way back home, but for now she would run ahead whenever he got close to her, weaving through the trees and laughing. After some time she grew more tired and slowed her pace to a walk, panting and catching her breath. ”So do you know where we’re going?” She cocked her head at him, orange orbs meeting his own. She was still covered in mud, but some of it was dried and falling off her pelt, but the two marks he had placed on her face were still there, drying and crumbling a bit from her darker colored fur.
