She had fallen asleep wrapped up in Cal-Cal's arms, exhausted from her constant searching of Fay-Fay. She hadn't given up, even though they were in a new place where everything was different. Everyone she ever knew and had loved were gone. She didn't have Fay-Fay, she didn't have her aunts, she didn't have her friends. All she had left was Mr. Cal and she liked him alot but he could be pretty grumpy and sad sometimes. He had a lot of sadness in his heart and she only wished that she could do more to help him and make him feel better.

They had been wandering around at her request, searching for Fay-Fay and discovering the new lands. When they collided with another person, Gracie was roused from her sleep and stirred within his arms, opening up sleepy eyes to gaze around her. When her eyes fell upon the body of the woman they had bumped into, she instantly knew who it was. Something deep within her cried out and told her that the woman was Faeyra. She had cried out, pushing agianst him to let her down. He was trying to calm her and tell her that it wasn't Faeyra, but she knew that it was and she wasn't going to let him stop her.

When his hands slipped down and let her fall to the ground, she had taken off as quickly as her tiny feet could take her, each step getting her closer to the one she loved. Gracelynn had lost her mother to a violent death at a young age and the thought that she had lost her Fay-Fay had nearly broken her spirit competely. The only thing that had saved her was Chi who was always by her side and the knowledge that Faeyra would not want her to be broken, she would want her to fight and hold onto hope.

Chi didn't even bother to move from Calvyn's side, watching as his little bonded ran towards the woman. He had known from the moment he had caught her scent on the wind that she had been near and there was nothing he wanted more than to see this reunion happen. He simply moved out from the trodden path, nestling down into the grass as wolf eyes watched his Gracie run towards her Fay-Fay.

Gracelynn didn't bother to slow down as she ran towards Faeyra, the calling of her name only spurring little legs to run faster. She collided with Faeyra's chest, little arms instantly wrapping up around her neck as she clung to the woman with all her strength. "Fay-Fay...I-it really is y-you?" Her words were filled with slight disbelief as she nestled herself in the woman's arms, trying to push herself ever close, trying to convince herself that it was all real.
