hold me in this wild, wild world;

A pleased smile curves across her ash dusted features now as Larka blinks warmly up at the painted bay stallion at her side. She had been told a number of times in her life how blunt and straight forwards her words could be, but to see the smile upon his dark lips and calmness of his words; it gave her an almost renewed sense of belief that perhaps she had been able to explain the Prairie lands of Luthien in enough detail that he could picture it with her now despite not having been there himself.Mikhail's next words however, bright a flash of guilt to her eyes as her small ears flicker atop her crown. Although he did not deliver the words with any sort of animosity or venom, none the less the words he spoke bite into her very soul. She had never spoken such words aloud, choosing instead to explain herself to others as a wanderer and calling any and everywhere her feet may have trod, her home. Perhaps once or twice she may have said it like he did now... but never had she actually heard it spoken from the mouth of another.Seeming to somehow sense her sorrow, he continues, doing his best to explain his words into a bit more detail which in turn does manage to give my pale silverling the time to gather her emotions together once more and bottle them back into the deep recesses of her soul. She blinks slowly up at him, multifaceted azure eyes dancing in the morning sunlight. She had heard occasionally of a desert, but never seen on. On occasion, nomads would pass through her father's herd lands from time to time, seeking shelter from their voyaging journey and sharing in return stories from afar. Vaguely now, she can remember curling up as all gangly young foals do, and listening with intent ears at each story and adventure. Perhaps it was these stories that gave her such an adventurous spirit? Only the gods knew this answer but none the less she recalls now stories of desert lands and how dry and acrid they were explained to her to be.He mentions a queen, but his explanation leaves much more to question than what his words offer. There is a sadness in his eyes when he speaks of her, a sadness that despite his stumbling for the right words, says there was perhaps more between them than such a thing as simple as a friendship.But before she can even begin to form a question in her mind, he has pushed on with the conversation with a flick of his liter tangled tail. This was perhaps for the best for Larka surely did not want to cause him any harm and even she was no stranger to the sorrows that could be dredged up by the past. "I thought for a time about returning to the Prairie... but seeing how I have not seen much more of these islands beyond the Prairie, I have chosen to be a nomad of sorts until the right place makes itself known." she says, pausing now to let her words settle between them before beginning once more, offering him a bit more of an explanation. "Ive always believed that if you truly belong somewhere, you will feel it in your soul. A contentment that cannot be pulled away by the coming and going of others. So far I haven't found it but perhaps one day." she says with a light chuckle and a playful wink. It lasts for but a moment however, as her thoughts once more delve deep and she allows herself to lean closer to him, savoring the warmth of his chocolate and white skin as it presses against her own pale silver white. "It is lonely though... she begins, her lilted melody softening to a gentle whisper. "being a wanderer... you tend to forget just how much you miss the company of others."
