The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Dandelion shrugged at his thoughts on the matter. Her mother was hardly ever a bored wolf, and she imagined her father was some sort of adventuring type or something. She'd never met the man, so it left a great deal to the imagination. The only thing she was certain of regarding the unknown male was that he was alive. "I just am," the girl said with a flick of her tail.

She was strangely confident. It likely came from her predominantly upbeat and happy attitude. In all of that natural positive tendencies, Dandelion highly doubted they would get lost. They hadn't gone deep enough into the Grotto, but it was enough that there was enough darkness to let their eyes adjust. "Don't look back at the lighter areas as you go deeper," she said rather jovially, "If you look back, it takes even longer." Dandelion paused, peering about a little bit.

"And if we are really lucky..." she trailed off slowly rounding a corner into a small cave like structure. Once there, it was easy to see the soft glow emitted by the glow worms that live in the dirt and rock of the place. They gave a soft light that made her grin as she looked, hoping Triton hadn't gotten lost following her. "We find these guys."
