Hey everyone! We have a few announcements to make, most of which are rule clarifications, but one of which is an exciting rule change, and another of which is not rule-related but is exciting nonetheless (for us at least).
Firstly, the clarifications:
1) Joint leadership of a territory is allowed. The joint leader may have whatever privileges and abilities the other leader grants them. However, the technical leader of the territory will still be considered the one who claimed it - this means that only that character's posts count toward keeping the territory active and under claim.
2) The raid limit (of two horses or the same horse twice per season), applies to herds and the Peak/Lagoon as a whole rather than to each individual.
3) Players are also free to structure their herds how they like, and may grant certain powers within reason to their herd members (e.g. a guard rank to answer challenges, block raids, etc. in the same way the leader traditionally does).
4) Players engaging in dice roll battles may choose to have an ally fight in their stead (e.g. if the other character is a more experienced fighter).
And now for the exciting bits:
1) We have decided to lift the limit of one territory per player. Players may now keep as many territories as they can keep up with.
2) We now have a donation page! A while ago someone suggested that - given what it costs to host TLI on Webs (£31.95 / $44.84 USD per year), and given how time-consuming it can be to moderate the site - we should open a donation page for players to contribute to. After some discussion, we decided to do it. We want to stress that this is absolutely not mandatory for players to donate to, and that we will happily continue to moderate TLI for free for the forseeable future, and that we are willing and able to cover Webs hosting fees ourselves. However, if any of you do want to help keep TLI afloat, donating is one way to do it. Any donations we receive will go straight back into Webs hosting.
