Re(1): Jeffrey E. McFadden Reply

Sometimes itís possible to get so close to a tree that you canít see the forest. While McFadden writes a good argument about why the Plebe should be excused for his poor choice of words, he forgets the reason Midín. Colter should not be discharged. The First Amendment states ď Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.Ē Itís the reason why, for instance, outspoken members of Black Lives Matter can spew their hate speech and be immune from prosecution. And rightfully so! As far as the Academy going to the extreme in disciplining Midín. Colter, I predict thereíll come a time when they reflect on the matter and have self-doubts about what they were thinking. As is said, ďSin in haste, repent at leisure.Ē Ahhh, me! Ainít it the truth?
