egy fecske nem csinál nyarat

one swallow does not make a summer

It wasn't long before the steady thrum of hoofbeats reverberates through the tiny mare's bones, a nervous excitement fluttering through her veins. "Kasan?" She called out, liquid amber eyes probing the forest for any sign of her brother among the sparse trees. "Did he follow me?" she wondered, heart leaping in her chest at the thought. Closer and closer they got, until finally, he came into her vision. Except, it wasn't the creamy olive coat of her brother, but the ivory-splashed pelt of a greying stallion, his dark eyes set on her form as he thundered towards her.

A startled gasp tore its way from Elisif's downturned lips, a harsh look of displeasure crossing her features. "You're not -" not my brother, she began to say, her tone bitter and accusatory. The stallion ignored her words, his body rearing up behind her, teeth bared like a hungry animal. In the back of Elisif's throat, a helpless scream bubbled and died, her body trembling under his weight as he forced his repugnant seed into her womb. "Fattyú!" She snarled, blunt hooves gouging the earth, legs trembling harshly. She wanted to fight back, but his weight upon her spine pinned her down like a doll. She could do nothing but wait.

It seemed the grey demon-stallion was in a hurry, for it was over almost as quickly as it had begun. His guttural grunt sent a shiver of disgust down her spine, his weight disappearing from her back. The air rushed back into her lungs, a ragged gasp tearing from her throat. She half-expected to feel the rugged scrape of teeth against the gilded expanse of her hindquarters, but it never came.

In the space of an instant, Elisif's fear seemed to dissolve, replaced by a burning, bitter rage that tore its way viciously from her chest, hues of crimson spreading across her vision. How dare he claim her in such a way?! How dare he lay his filthy seed inside her? He was unworthy of such an act, and yet he had claimed his innocence for his own anyways. Perhaps it was an awareness of his own inadequacy that had driven him to such an act.

From somewhere in the distance, another voice called out, harsh and deep an angry, but Elisif did not hear. Her own rage consumed her, blinded her to the rest of the world. She spun around, velvetine lips drawn back to reveal teeth that sought only one thing: his flesh. She snapped at him as he ran, fleeing towards the safety of the sea. She nearly followed him, but a dark flash of movement in her peripheral vision stayed her hooves. She didn't want to get caught up in the shady dealings of this place, didn't want to put herself in any more danger than she already had.

The sound of hooves faded into the distance. Once again, Elisif was alone, with nothing but a deep ache inside her belly to remind her of these transgressions. She was no stranger to the atrocities of the world. She knew things like this happened, but never had she thought it would be her. A nauseating concoction of anger and shame and disgust bubbled in the pit of her stomach. In the back of her mind, she knew what was supposed to happen next, and the thought of her belly swelling with the demon's child made her want to vomit. What would Kasan think? She knew he would not blame her, but she worried he might blame himself.

Eventually, Elisif's thoughts were interrupted by another stranger approaching. Sculpted ears flattened harshly against her nape, jaw clenched tightly as she fought against every instinct to lash out and run. His words barely register in her mind, the thick brogue of his voice drowned out by the sound of blood rushing in her ears. "Thank you," she managed, her heart still thumping wildly within her chest. Part of her wanted to run to the sea, to dive back into those frigid waves and chase the demon back to whatever hole he crawled from. She wanted to feel his flesh between her teeth, to pull apart each muscle and taste the iron in his blood. But she knew that would not happen - the sea had claimed him, and he was lost to her now.

The stallion before her muttered something about watching over her. Part of her wanted to scoff - when had she ever needed someone to watch over her? Still, she couldn't find it in herself to be rude. "If that bastard dares to come back, I will rip his cock off." She practically spat the words from her mouth, her accent thicker than usual in her ire. She knew it was an empty thread, but there was a fury inside her veins, a fire in her chest that roared and burned and licked at her lungs, each word red-hot and full of fury.

Finally, her anger had abated enough that she could turn to look the stranger in the face, the fire in her soul setting her amber eyes alight. "I can protect myself just fine," usually, but I will not say no to company." A pause, a forced smile, and then she spoke again. "I am Elisif."
