EREBOS
we're all devoid believing we're fallen angels when really we're all just empty vessels
He had to say it was somehow… nice that they just looked at him and spoke with him in a way many others did not. He was starting to think that it was because they were children that they didn’t yet know he was considered strange to other adults. In a way he felt like he was lying to them. Then again Erebos wasn’t doing anything bad. He had his friends, they kept him company he talked with them, played with them as a child and even when he got bored as an adult but many didn’t take him as normal, or at least treat him this way. No one really but his littermates.
It took him aback somewhat but not in a bad way as they cheerily bounced and gave him so much attention. His fire and ice eyes running from one to the other as they both seemed to agree they wanted to play but then seemingly were confused when he asked if they could swim. The puzzled looks were more than enough to tell him that they didn’t have any idea how to do it just yet. They were still young, he reminded himself, but no one really taught him to do it either he sort of just… did it. He wanted those fish to eat after all and more than once he got a little over his head, but he got more confident and refined with age. ”Mmm.” The sound came from his maw as he looked to the girl standing elbow deep in the water.
”No show… you will do, not hard. Comes… naturally.” He said before twisting around, grabbing the corpse of his friend and pulling him from off over his shoulders and gently setting it on a rock. He then started wading out to the water, going out far enough so that his paws were still touching the bottom as the waves hit him slightly. He turned to face them, the top half of his body still mostly untouched by water and his fur poofed out around him making him look even larger as it floated on the water slightly.
”Come to me. Just keep doing walking motion, sort of… you’ll understand. One at a time, can use me to rest.” Large as he was he was a mini island for the two little girls, easy enough for them to clamber onto and lay over. He wouldn’t let them struggle too much, but he was thinking they would take well to the water and would be fine. He would make sure they would excell though. He was bad at expressing it, but he was pleased they were excited, happy he could teach them something today, and maybe even play with them. First they needed to get the hang of swimming though.
