He made his way back to the borders of Asteraia, grumbling under his breath for coming back empty pawed. That jerk Zanon was going to pay for meddling. It wasn't like Cuirass was gonna kill the wolf or something, but for some reason, Zanon had taken a liking to the guy (hey, no judgement) and he pulled a cheap shot and jumped Cuirass to get him back. At first it was pretty even and Cuirass was sure he could have given the male a real beating if he wanted to but he found himself thinking of Boneskull of all things and got distracted. Zanon was his brother. Would Boneskull care if Cuirass "accidentally" killed him? Cuirass hadn't seen much of his adopted son since leaving Iromar in the dust but he wanted to change that. He would go out and find him if it was the last thing he did. But when he got distracted, Zanon managed to get the upper hand in the fight and now Cuirass was sporting some fine injuries of his own.

Nothing was life threatening and losing a little blood wasn't going to hurt anything. He didn't break anything but he felt like his ribs were probably gonna bruise pretty good from Zanon ramming him into a tree. Mostly all scraps and punctures from the puny prick's mouth but Cuirass had immediately washed it off in the creek. Never knew what kind of diseases that little creep might be carrying. Then he headed back to Asteraia. He wondered what Bel was going to think of him showing back up like this. Most of the bites were still bleeding, though not very much, and he had a slight limp to his step from the bruised ribs but more than that, he was pissed that Zanon had gotten his steal away in the meantime. Didn't he care how hard Cuirass had worked to get him? No, that little shit probably didn't think about it one bit.

Well, Cuirass wasn't going to forget it anytime soon. He snorted and headed to the den once he got into the packlands. He wasn't expecting to run into anyone on the way. He wasn't that famous or anything, at least not yet. But the steals weren't going to stop and he would get Zanon back if it was the last thing he did. When he reached the den, he sniffed around for Bel. He knew she was close. Smirking to himself, he flopped down on his side. "Oh beautiful Angel of Death, please come take me for I feel my life force slipping away into the darkness." He groaned dramatically as if in serious pain, closing his eyes except for a small slit as he waited to see how his mate would react.
