Many wolves looking for relaxation come to Blossom Field. A gentle breeze vibrating the blossoming flowers is quite a sight to see and it is quite a favourite for wolves to come with their mates.

A recent fire has ruined the scenery, half the field covered with soot and marked with scars of the flames. The other half is untouched, however.

Fear Makes People Do Terrible Things

_________________________________________________________________________

Some would see Lupin’s actions as cowardly, but to him it was not about bravery. He was not a fighter, had never been one, and if he could avoid a fight he would. It didn’t mean that he was a pushover and would let others take advantage of him. But if he was in the wrong he was not too proud to admit it and show his apology. It would be different if someone came after him, he would not just tuck tail and show his throat. But in this instance where he had physically trampled over another, he was not going to react aggressively just because the stranger had. She had every right to be upset by his actions, and he had learned showing that he was no harm could go farther than snarling back, even if his instinct told him to do just that. And that was just what he did in this case. The male kept his form low and submissive, letting the stranger that was ready to attack know that it wasn’t necessary. If she had chosen to go for him, he wouldn’t have just sat there and let her kill him, he would have fought back. But luckily it didn’t come to that.

Within a few moments the femme’s form relaxed, no longer about to attack at any second. Lupin did not entirely let his guard down, he still didn’t know who this female was. But he let his tensed form relax a bit, his audette’s swiveling up as he rose to a sitting position, his plume appearing by his side instead of tucked submissively. His scarred face continued to watch every move she made, knowing that there was a chance it was a trick that she was relaxed. But maybe it wasn’t and she was not going to attack him. The stranger than drew closer to him, but no longer in a hostile way. Lupin’s green orbs remained fixed on her as she investigated his scent, his form stiffening when she drew close to his scarred face, but he didn’t move away from her, at least not yet. When she paused for a moment at his neck, flashbacks of the last wolf to be there drew in his mind again. But Rogan had no scent, none of the vampires did, and so she would have no idea that he had been there. Unless she could somehow see the small marks that were under his fur. Would she feel the way that his form shied away more at this spot than anywhere else she approached though? Or would she not pick up on such a small movement by him?

The lanky male remained still to allow her to inspect him until she came back, face to face with him. His brow furrowed as he looked at her, wondering what was on her mind and why she didn’t just ask him to leave her alone after he had woken her, but instead had checked him out. Finally the femme spoke up as she shook out her lighter colored pelt, “Lupin. That’s quite alright, honeychild. I suppose I picked a terrible spot for a nap. You could hardly have seen me amongst all of this grass, now could you?” He watched in silence as she took her time arranging her plume around herself. Was he mocking her about what happened? He had never been called honeychild before and it made him feel weird, just cocking his head at her in response until she asked him a direct question, forcing the male to speak up. “So tell me, Lupin, where do you come from? What do you do with yourself when you’re not out stepping all over poor, defenseless, sleeping girls?” She let out a giggle as she spoke, and he felt that maybe she wasn’t upset about what happened as she teased him. He didn’t know what to say exactly to her words about the rude way he woke her, so he just addressed the other question. ”Well, I live in Wudubearo, but haven’t been back home for a while. I’ve just been wandering really lately. Obviously not paying enough attention…” His vocals faded off as he gave her a tentative smile, hoping that she wouldn’t be annoyed by his joke. ”What about you…miss? What brings you out here…sorry, I don’t know what to call you…” His head cocked once more, hoping the femme would have forgiven him enough to give her his name.
