Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

heros may die...but legends endure

It was probably that perfect combination of Coza and Iblis that made Zelda what she was. While she shone brightly with the Aztec ideals the Guardian of Taviora also had the pure stubborn willpower to not give up even if it looked hopeless. If nothing else Zelda believed in hope and would fight for that as long as she lived. There was still terrible things out there, things that couldn’t be stopped unless wolves would chose to stop the cycle. That was something that Coza aimed to do, to stop the cycle of hate. He wasn’t able to do it, maybe no one was, but Zelda wasn’t about to give up just because it didn’t seem possible. Perhaps she was a little unhinged herself to continue trying such a thing, but she would not stop. She couldn’t not when she could help wolves like Halcyon and Aster with something so small to try to put an end to it before it started.

Halcyon seemed to understand her words though, her reasoning as she explained what had happened and even her hints that Arturio might be a very valuable ally for him if he was still intending on fighting Blackthorne, for Aspis if no one else. She wanted to stop him, but she didn’t have answers on how she could do that really other than hope he might trust her to get Aspis back as she had gotten Whisper and Archana back. She could see the relief, see that he agreed with her that Arturio was valuable. She didn’t want to get too sidetracked though, she made a promise and she ended to keep it to the very end.

She relayed Aspis’ message. She didn’t like it, but understood what he was saying. In his position maybe she would have said something as well. She wanted them to stay away after all but as she look at Halcyon showed he found no comfort in his message and if anything a growing worry in his mind. Something proven when it still seemed that he planned to assault Iromar though perhaps in a more calculated fashion. A frown creased her muzzle. ”Out of love, sacrifice is born… as well as hate. I rather not see the cycle continued.” Her gaze looks towards Iromar then she had confronted the wolf herself and yet, she shook her head though. ”Consider that before you do anything as a repayment. Otherwise there no need to repay me for what I have done.”

She says with a sigh, fairly certain that it would be lost, but she wasn’t sure. She hoped in form of repayment that he would consider it at least a little more. He licked her cheek fondly and it brought a tired smile upon her maw. She guessed that was up to him now. ”I certainly hope so, Uncle Halcyon. And you are, or can be.” She states though with her messages and everything passed she supposed she should head home and report to Aster next and let her know everything that has happened here. ”I suppose I will head back home. There are things I must do there as well.” She says dipping her head to Halcyon before taking her leave. It was in his paws now to decide what he would do.
