Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

The male noticed him quickly enough, his eyes setting upon Faust as he spoke and made all his inquires. It quickly wrote blindness out of the boy’s books, after all his eyes did seem to find him and there was no quality there that he thought would indicate blindness. Lack of eye contact everything like that, but that look was still on his face. He also didn’t seem unpleasant either, which was lucky for Faust seeing as how brashly he had approached and made some rather harsh observations and unkind questions. He didn’t realize how lucky he was though especially in this day and time. What was more the brute who had been through so much even chuckled at some of Faust’s words causing him to quirk one of his brows curiously before setting his golden gaze back onto the ground as well.

It was as if he was expecting some grand mystery to be solved about this apparent very special piece of earth. Finally the wolf explained that being blind might have been a blessing that he was overwhelmed but still had his sanity. Faust didn’t understand what he meant, that was, until he continued sand said his brother was found here, murdered. What was probably most surprising though was that he had asked if he had any ideas. Faust was still processing through all this information. Murder? Why? Murder was when you killed someone. Faust didn’t even know where to begin understanding and putting all that through. Tychon had constantly said his rockslides could kill someone. Tychon said wolves attacked other wolves, that he had saved his friend once at the expense to some gruesome wounds on his face. The first thing Faust didn’t understand was why did wolves kill each other? Anger? Jealousy? Hatred? Frustration? Those were things he somewhat understood but never towards any individuals enough to kill them. He didn’t know there were wolves who simply enjoyed it, but his mother did say that there were bad wolves out there that could do them harm and it was why she was taking a little longer than originally planned for them to fledge Spirane.

”How long ago has it been since he was killed? What killed him? Do you know that? Are you certain is was murder? Do you remember anything? About his body? What he was doing out here? Anything? It should help.” There was not enough details now for him to even give a good hypothesis to this mystery, but Faust wanted to solve it now that he had been asked. The wolf HAD asked him if he had any ideas after all and it was almost a compulsion for Faust to provide an answer. He had ideas…. Oh did he had ideas. Many ideas. Hatred between two wolves. Love gone wrong. Revenge. A failed attack. There were so many ideas. Even a fallen branch could kill someone. It sent him looking up and down and all around for any large branches but… nothing. The thing is was he wanted them to be correct hypotheses and wasn’t about to go half minded into this. It was a mystery to solve, a puzzle to put together. Faust was going to do it. He was asked too and so he would.
