This actually sounds interesting!
Cap has never loved, though he has had crushes before, but he has been very carefully waiting for the special one to have his first child. He believes he has one soul mate and it is hard to tell between love, lust, and just like etc. He has held out all this time and finally wants to settle and raise a family.
He mostly has a herd because he is a protecter type and noble, but it wouldn't bother him one bit if all his mares bred elsewhere out of love, etc unless they proclaimed themselves his (which no one has).
He wouldn't mind her past as long as she became dedicated to him if they fell in love and he gave himself to her. He watched his mother's failed relationships until she was finally happy as an older mare and he feels his time is finally here.
Something interesting is Cap actually has his own religion as well. I'm trying to recall it exactly, but it circled around three gods. One was for death, one for life, and one fertility I think. It was basically two stallion gods (life and death) fighting for a mare goddess (fertility). He prays to each one depending on the situation. When one dies he prays to the death god, etc. Replies: There have been no replies.
