The whole thing had been such a thrill. Watching the joy on his sister's face as they chased the bunny, the thrill of catching it, the look of bewilderment that crossed their features, trying to figure out what they were supposed to do with the thing. Then came her dreaded question about asking mom. Fear had shot straight through him at the idea of confronting mom with what they had snuck off to do. He could see the fury now, and that was not something he was willing to deal with- no ma'am.

Coming up with the idea for Teagan to chase it on her own, he watched her as he said the words, when she was ready, he lifted himself up off the creature, pushing his weight to his back legs so he could lift his front off of the bunny, watching it rocket out from beneath him, he took off after them. He kept pace with Teagan and the rabbit, his large figure blocking the rabbit from escaping at different points, but he was beaming with pride as he watched his sister.

She had nearly caught up to it a few times, and he let loose a whoop of a yelp when he saw her launch herself at the rabbit. Only for it to end when the rabbit squirmed out at the last second. He bolted, and so did Dominus. He blocked the rabbit from heading into the hollow tree. "Come on Teag! You can do it!" He grinned towards his sister as he used his body to cut the rabbit off at a few more movements, his idea not to catch it himself, just keeping it from taking off on his sister. "We gotta hurry before momma comes!" He chuckled mischievously.

Cadeyrn tucked himself deeper into the shadows as he watched his children chase the rabbit, and when he heard Oliza howling for them, he knew she'd be coming soon. He'd stay until he caught a glimpse of her, knowing that they'd be safe, then he'd leave. Speaking of.. He heard her howl come through again-- Closer. Filled with worry, and a little anger. He felt the panic grow in his chest as he tucked himself further away from the two, his heart breaking. Not wanting to piss the mother of his children off, but at the same time, his heart was breaking because he couldn't introduce himself to them. He caught sight of the mottled girl then, barely peeking through the trees. And off he ran, one last look at his wonderful children, his heart staying with them.

Dominus lifted his head, catching a glimpse of mother coming through the trees, her eyes wide, but when he looked away, he could have sworn he saw the trees on the opposite side of the clearing move. Strange.
