At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

Only You Are the Life Among the Dead  |
_________________________________________________________________________ Snowy white paws carried the female silently through the trees as she explored the outskirts of the pack. Dierne Hrof’s lands were now well memorized within the femme’s mind and she knew it as well as she had known the lands when they were known as Aurora Borealis. It had been a long time since she had thought of the pack with that name, but the reappearance of a certain wolf had brought back memories of the pack before magic had been around. Khaleesi did not expect to see Kalgalath again within the pack lands, and she was very pleasantly surprised when she had caught his scent along the borders. Being the over the top femme that she was, she had literally tackled the old alpha in greeting, ecstatic to see her friend again. But he had come back with troubling news. His mate, Sebring, their old alphess was missing and it seemed that the wolves that had taken her now had ties with wolves that had made their way to Blossom. Khaleesi had personal experience with being kidnapped when it had happened to her many years ago as a pup. Luckily it was not something that had caused lasting trauma to her and she had learned how to trust other wolves quite easily again, something that still got her in trouble sometimes. But her heart went out to Sebring, remember the terror that she had gone through herself. The male had returned to his old pack for backup, and of course wolves answered his call. Khaleesi had never been a fighter, but there was a time and a place for it, and this was one of them. She also wanted to be with them to help others that would undoubtedly get injured during the battle. She wasn’t looking forward to the future meeting that would occur, and it made her nervous to think about. It would not be an easy and quick fight, and there was a chance that there would be some fatalities. All Khaleesi could hope was that herself and her friends would come out again. But there was still time for her to prepare, both mentally and physically, for this day, and so she traveled outside of the pack for a bit. She wanted to go out to stock up on some of her supplies and she also needed a mental break from the tension of the unknown that was going to come. Paws carried her through the trees, keeping an eye out for any herbs or plants that she may need to stock up on. She knew that most of the supplies she needed grew near water, so she went to one of the rivers and followed its flow. Khaleesi let her mind wander to nothing, letting herself have a few stress free moments and feel at ease before the impending battle that would come. The lands around her began to change as she drew closer toward the ocean and further away from the forests. Deciding it would be best to collect her herbs on the way back to the packs lands, she let herself approach the sand and the waves. Seeing the vast water reminded her of the last time she had traveled her, a day that her life had drastically changed. Khaleesi had come to the ocean for a swim, but it was during some sort of magical outbreak, and she had left with some new features to her form. Feathers, snowy white with black speckles, had appeared along her back. It had been shocking and painful at first, almost scary, but it made her even more unique. She now loved having the feathers there, and when the wind blew threw them it was an even better feeling than it blowing through her fur. Green orbs alert to her surroundings, Khaleesi began to explore the sands, occasionally chasing after a gull or two that would land near her, letting herself feel like a pup again for the moment.
