She could stay here forever with Aeon. The more time she spent with him, the more she wanted to spend time with him. She loved her parents and she knew they were protective of her only because she meant so much to them but Aeon was her future. She couldn't help but feel her heart racing in her chest when he dashed into the water. What if it ate him up and he disappeared forever? She had to stop herself from yelling "No!" at the top of her lungs but thankfully he didn't go anywhere. Finally after some time considering, she moved down the dunes and to his side since that's where she wanted to be anyway. She was hesitant when the water hit her paws, not sure what she was expecting. It was so cold! She shivered at the touch but after a minute she moved closer to Aeon, seeking his body for comfort as well as warmth.
At his question, she shook her head. "No, the rocks in the crag don't move like that and neither does the creeks or lake in the free lands. Why does this water move like that?" She looked up at him, curious. She glanced down as he shifted, mimicking his action of lifting her paws as she started to sink into the sand. She gasped in shock at first as the squishy stuff spread between her toes. Then he told her she was more wonderful and she giggled, nudging his shoulder teasingly as she batted her eye lashes at him. "You're such a liar, Aeon. The ocean is by far the most wonderful I've ever seen." She turned to look out over the horizon, her eyes wide as she took in how far back it went. It seemed like it went on forever.
When he started nosing around in the sand at her paws, she followed his gasp and squealed in delight as she saw the clams and tiny fish. "Oh, there are fish in this water too! Look at them go!" She beamed at Aeon as she danced around, being careful not to step on any of them as she looked at the clams then at him, scrunching up her nose. "What are those?" He called the clam things peloris and she nodded slowly. When he asked about fish, she smirked and tilted her head, her eyes gleaming. "Of course I know about fish, silly. We have those in the lake and the creeks." At the sounds coming from behind them, she turned and stared at the seagulls, her eyes wide. "I've never seen those kinds of birds before though. Are they nice?" She was hesitant, pressing herself to Aeon's side.
