Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

The male seemed awfully amused by something and Eztli wasn't sure he liked it. After all, he wasn't amused so that had to mean the other wolf was amused by something he didn't know about, AKA him. He wasn't at all going to tolerate being the butt of someone else's joke. He was no joke. He was an assassin in training. The male seemed bent on teaching him. He didn't mind that so much. The wolf Tuari had taught him most of what he knew about communicating as a mute. She was a mute too so he respected that. This wolf could talk so he was automatically resented for that which put him lower on the ranking system in Eztli's mind but he would still listen. It just didn't automatically mean he would take it into consideration and follow it.

The male called him mistaken, giving him another way things could have gone but Eztli wasn't going to lose face. He snorted and rolled his eyes. "I would have known the difference. You weren't hunting something. You were on a mission. You took longer strides than someone trying to pick up a scent. You were too aware of your surroundings, not focused on the hunt." He smirked, quite proud of himself for his observation. He knew the male was probably just trying to teach him a lesson but it had to be worded a certain way for him not to automatically challenge it with something he knew. Everything was dare for him to prove himself and that's exactly what he would do, again and again if needed.

Next the male gave him a little hope, dangling it out on a thread that he wasn't wrong when he pointed out what the wolf was up to. Eztli couldn't help but grin as the wolf confirmed his theory, but then he threw in another question. Eztli scowled thoughtfully before answering with a shrug. "If someone wanted to threaten violence, they would send a big wolf in their prime, no offense. You're not big and your scent says you're old enough to be a little more than past your prime. Of course, with age comes wisdom and common sense so you would better interpret whatever you see or are told."

When he all but demanded to come along, the male raised a brow and asked if he was sure. He smirked. "You can see a shadow. If you want, they won't see me." He held his breath until the wolf said that he could come. Then his ears pricked and he felt himself straighten in relief. This should be interesting! He nodded, fighting the urge to roll his eyes again when the wolf basically told him to be quiet and respectful. He had to bite his lip to keep from laughing at the thought of being anything BUT quiet. Then the wolf surprised him by giving his name. Tyrion. He thought for a second before shrugging. "Eztli." He mouthed.
