Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.

Fear Makes People Do Terrible Things

_________________________________________________________________________

Demanding vocals made the brute’s audettes perk up. Who else was out at night like this? He did not often find other wolves that liked to wander about when the sun had fully set and the moon was at its full peak. And he was nowhere near a pack’s borders, so why was a stranger demanding action of him? They had no jurisdiction outside of their borders, and for a moment Lupin felt like he should ignore the words. But for whatever reason his paws paused, and he turned to see who it was. The male that was approaching was a stranger, a wolf who he had never even passed by before. The other male was a darker pelted brute than himself, but his russet pelt was not so dark that he blended in entirely with the night. Unnaturally bright red orbs seemed to glow in the dark almost as the stranger approached, and with that Lupin realized what he was. Instinct told him to run from this unnaturally unscented wolf, but he was frozen to the spot. But he was not afraid for some reason. He knew that he should be, knew that he should worry about his life. But for some unknown reason he felt that it wasn’t his time to die, not tonight anyways.

And with that the brute asked what the other male wanted, curious as to why he had called out for him to stop. The scarred brute turned to fully face the male, brows raised in curiosity to see what it was that he could do for him. The stranger was staring at him intently, entirely focused on him and nothing else. Lupin had never been looked like that before and he shuffled awkward from paw to paw as he felt as if he was being inspected. Why should he even care what this stranger thought about him? But for some reason he did, a lot. As if he wanted to win his approval. Though he had no justification for these feelings whatsoever. The brute took another step towards him as he spoke, and Lupin was rooted to the spot unable to move even if he had wanted to. “I’ve been charged by my princess to seek out other putnar. Apparently, regular prey will no longer satisfy my needs. I must quiet my stomach with the likes of you.” The vampire licked at his lips, visibly salivating as he drew closer and closer. And with the words from the stranger, fear struck the brute, his orbs widening at the words that came from his mouth. The words left no room to question what his intentions were, he had demanded for Lupin to stop for one thing, the one thing that vampires were known for. He wanted his blood, and the lanky brown male was standing here as if ready to sacrifice himself to the other male. He couldn’t just stand here and do nothing could he? His head turned left to right, to see if there was a better way to try and go to get away, but the next words that came from the vampire changed all of thoughts of running.

“Don’t run. If you run, I won’t be able to control myself.” Every time that those vocals reached his ears it made him feel funny. Made him feel nothing but the intense desire to do exactly what the words asked of him. By now he had wished he had never turned around, wished that he had run when he had the chance. But now his paws could not move, they were glued to the ground he was at and all he could do was watch with uncertainty and the hint of fear that he felt in his green orbs as the vampire drew closer and closer to him. But one thing about the words caught his attention. It was clear that he didn’t want to lose control, or else he wouldn’t have told Lupin not to run. So did that mean that he was not going to kill him? Lupin had been under the impression that vampires always killed their victims, but if that was the case then the stranger wouldn’t be interested in controlling himself. So maybe it wasn’t his time to die, not yet anyways. But regardless of if he was to be killed here or not, he could do nothing to stop it. At least not run away. But could he fight? He supposed he could, but he wasn’t sure if he would come out the victor. He had never been in a true fight before, so had never had to test his skills, and did he really want his first fight to be against a vampire? No. So for now, he tried to remain calm, in the hopes that that would increase his chance of survival, and his gaze met the unnaturally crimson orbs of the male that was drawing nearer and nearer.
