The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

He didn’t know what to think of the wolf before him. He kept his emotions on open display sometimes and then others he hid them from the world. Loki could often make assumptions about other wolves by their facial expressions and the range of emotions in their eyes but since the grinning incident, the wolf hadn’t given him much. He was quiet more now, thoughtful. Blackthorne seemed to want to listen to him though. He told him about the female who killed Enderly but he didn’t give any reaction to the matter. Loki was used to getting some kinds of answers whether its a simple no or something like that. Of course he usually didn’t socialize much at all. Talking to others was so complicated. He was expected to do things like smile or something to show the way he feels. The lacking of feeling scared other wolves, or creeped them out.

He’d mostly stayed away from contact with others, especially after the incident with the female in the cave. But here in Moladian, there were mysteries that needed solving. Which meant he had to talk to other wolves. When he asked what he would want, Blackthorne said loyalty. “I...don’t do well with attachment. Last time someone got hurt.” He figured it was okay to tell Blackthorne. Somehow he didn’t see him judging too harshly. At least he didn’t say someone got killed, though that was more the truth. Then Blackthorne said information and that he couldn’t give him much. Blackthorne then told him that he was an alpha and could use brawn and muscle. “So you mean fighting. I have some experience.” He at least did know a little about throwing his weight around. He usually ended up sparring with wolves more than talking to them before coming to Moladian.

When he named off Underidge, there was an immediate reaction from Blackthorne. His hackles rose up and he growled. Somehow Loki could tell he wasn’t growling at him directly so he held his ground and waited. Finally Blackthorne spoke. He repeated the name Underidge. Seems he had hit a sour note with him. He waited for Blackthorne to explain the problem. Then Blackthorne said that luck was in his favor and it was nice to meet him, but he added on a title Loki wasn’t expecting. Uncle. “You dont know Silas and Shadow seemed too young for children so you are Underidge’s son.” He said it as a fact, blinking at the wolf. Small world. Guess he was finding new links all over the place. “I will go with you to your pack, if you’ll have me.” He didn’t really have anything else going for him now that Enderly was dead. Maybe being with family would do something for him.
