Evaline paid Talya little attention as she threw a very visible and overly dramatic fit at standing still so her own daughter could drink. However, if Evaline had eyebrows, she would be furrowing them in this moment, in an effort to exasperate the fact that she was not pleased with Talya's attitude. Achoo, on the other hand, tried her best to defuse the situation, despite her exhausted state. Evaline offered her grandchild a sheepish, but genuine grin, and lowered her muzzle to drape quickly but affectionately down the filly's back. The golden mare swallowed hard as Talya explained "the other one," which of course Evaline was able to assume she meant the stallion who did this to her. Evaline may hate Talya's father with every fiber in her being, but she was sure she shared the same level of hatred and anger for the stallion whom saw it fit to mount and breed with a mare -- a filly, even -- in Talya's mental and physical state. What kind of monster would do such a thing? The older palomino mare stomps a stiff leg into the ground in response to her agitation, but let's the feeling go. There was nothing she could do about it. Perhaps Psychedelic's rage could be put to use, she mused, if he decided to seek out the brute responsible for this recent development. "Do you see this 'other one' regularly Talya? Has he met... Achoo?" She asks curiously, unable to help herself and prod. But Evaline's attention was once again diverted to the younger, weaker filly, as she gasped for air after her drink. The eldest mare shot Talya a wretched look after her silly comment about the remaining milk on her face, and once again lowered her head to inspect Achoo up close. She bumped her again, reassuringly. "There, there." She said softly. "Maybe it's time for you to get some rest, then." Only after the words had left her lips did Evaline's stern gaze fall onto Talya again, if only to reiterate that Talya take care of her daughter as Evaline wished. There was only so much the golden mare could do to reinforce some semblance of proper behavior for Talya and Achoo. But she hated to think that Achoo could wind up worse off than she already was. After all the ruin that had followed their family up until this point, perhaps Evaline could play a role in steering the youngest away from anymore misery. Perhaps she could save them, if she tried. Doubtful, she thought, with the flick of her wavy blonde tail. But it wasn't like she had anyone else around her to focus her efforts on at the moment. 17 | Arabian cross |14.2 | Palomino | Mother of Kasabian, Shamwari, Vita Nova, Paradiso, Ruxin & Talya | Vinyl |
