Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

He was disappointed in himself for not socializing with the rest of the pack the way he should but better late than never, right? He knew the female had been in her position for a while. He wanted to get to know his pack members better. He felt like he would fit in better if he started making some friends. She gave her name as Alcmene and he nodded in acknowledgement.

“Pleasure to meet you, Alcmene.” He responded, listening with ears pricked as she said she wasn’t sure about the prey moving but maybe she was too good at her job. He chuckled. “Maybe so.” She laughed before admitting the birds and crabs were still around but bigger prey like seals were trying to make themselves scarce and the capybara were almost nonexistent. He scowled thoughtfully. “Maybe they just migrated. We should be able to pick up a trail. Do you know the last place you remember seeing them?” He pricked his ears attentively, ready to help however he could. He wondered to himself where the prey could be getting to. Most of the packs all had their own set of dangers. The beaches were probably the most peaceful though, without all the rain like in Taviora or the fires in Diveen.

He into stride beside Alcmene, trotting along and looking for a scent marker. At her question, he scowled thoughtfully and shrugged. “I dont know what I’m supposed to be working on, to be honest. Eden told me he would get with me so I’ve been waiting for him to get a chance to meet with me.” He shrugged. “I’m pretty well rounded so I dont know if i should be training my fighting skills or talking skills for a position in diplomacy. I guess every little bit helps.” He smiled.
