Long drawn out statements certainly did not suit Tychon, but at least the boy listened. Talked a lot, but he listened. A half-smirk lined his maw at Faust's observation of any small mis-step being able to cause a rockslide. Smart kid, he thought while giving a short nod. "Rare enough... Still dangerous..." he said, his raspy voice warning. The man was also moving from the edge with care. The last thing he needed right now was to be the cause of a rockslide and having to explain to this boy's mother how they had inadvertently done so.

"Masque," Tychon said gruffly, "Might... see her... " He had thought to say more, but cut himself short: a simple enough task given his already rasped voice. His ears twitched slightly as the boy carried one, seeming to realize he talked a lot. Apparently, the reaction was similar to one he had received before.

"Smart... Keep learning," he finally said after a brief bit of silence. Tychon had no idea what he might have unleashed by saying that. One thing he knew, as annoying as the kid might be, better for him to learn. Maybe he will learn to not be too much of a pain and stay out of trouble. "Be safe," he said as he lead the way back toward where he had met Faust. Tychon paused briefly, giving a glance to the boy before carrying on forward towards the borders. This encounter had him thinking about Masque. Maybe he'd find her out there.
