Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

She could tell shed taken him by surprise when she spoke. His face showed concern but it was almost like he was trying to blame himself. The thought was almost enough to make her laugh. No one made her play in the smoke. She was stupid enough to be underground at the time. She knew her voice sounded horrible but at least she still had one. She was still alive. That had to count for something. He said that he hadn�t heard her voice before so he couldnt say if it sounded better and asked if the flowers soothed her throat. Ah, he was no fun. All serious, no play. She scowled momentarily before nodding. �Yeah i guess they helped. I think my voice is a little sexy with the raspiness to it, but alas i dont think it�ll stay.� She sighed dramatically.

He seemed so uptight but the longer she watched him, the more she noticed him relaxing a little. Maybe he was figuring out she wasnt going to bit his head off or something. She was sure if he was trying, he could be quite the intimidating guy but shed always had a trouble with feeling fear, even as a pup. She always had a sense of bravado. Then he brought up water. �Oh yes, all the water i can drink. Temporary relief but nothing special.� She shrugged. She looked at him for a minute. �So is your voice a symptom of the fire too or is that all natural?� Her lips tugged into a smirk and she gave him a teasing wink. She ha to see how far she could get him to unwind.
