He was pleased when she moved closer to him for comfort. The water was certainly more on the cool side, but he found it nice apon his dark paws. This was a new experience for her though. The ocean was such a different part of the world, even compared to a freshwater lake. The wonders were as vast as the ocean itself.
She asks questions that he really does not know the answer to. Leave it to Lucia to ask the hard questions in life. He looks down at the moving water, and her moving her sinking paws as he considered her question. She nudges him and calls him a liar for she feels the ocean is most wonderful. He smirks in reaction.
”Ocean move because...it does,” he answers, wrinkling his nose a bit. ”Perhaps, it has own mind,” he says with thought, not knowing the real answer and considering what the real answer could possibly be. The ocean just is, and just does, and all he can think is that there is some mind controlling it. As for what is most wonderful, if Lucia thinks the ocean is most wonderful, then it...must be! Thus he nods and shrugs.
”Yeah, if you saying so,” he says as she becomes excited at the life teeming below their feet. Little fish and clams in the sand. Lucia seemed to know of the fish but not the clams. ”Peloris, erm, shell, much color, much small, live in sand,” he says as he sticks his paw under the sand and pops it up, pushing out a few little clams of many different colors who then scurry to dig themselves back into the sand.
He looks up at the birds as Lucia mentions them and if they are nice. His brows furrowed a bit. Seagulls were unpredictable creatures. They were not always bad, but they were quite annoying at times.
”They, ah, will take,” he says tilting his head as he tries to come up with the right words.
”If food near, they take, but if chase, they run,” he says as he lopes to her side now, winding up his behind as he then began to dash forward in an attempt to make them all fly away...knowing full well they will fly right back the moment he moves only a few feet away.
