Donald Trump's Political Strategy Posted on 4/27/2018 at 20:20:05 by John Wells
I once had a high school teacher who taught me that history is a valuable subject: It teaches us to recognize our mistakes when we make them again. So much for glancing in the rear vision mirror and judging what is and isn’t presidential! I voted for President Trump, conscious that he was not a politician, but a man somewhat like Mohammed Ali, or Cassius Clay as he was once known. Donald Trump’s fighting method is “Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee”—like Ali’s. Trump belittles and then praises his foes when he’s beaten them or changed them into what he had in mind—like Ali did with his ring opponents. Trump makes fools of the media—like Ali did, especially Howard Cosell who gave him mountains of free publicity. Trump plays on the international stage—like Ali. Some day university professors will teach classes about Donald Trump’s political acumen. Wait and see. Replies: There have been no replies.
