It had started out as a normal day like any other. She woke up excited to stay the day beside her parents, nudging each of them in turn to let them know she was going out before she left the den. Even though she was two years old, Malleah was still very protective over her and she didn't want her to worry. Exodus wasn't as bad because he had taught her how to handle herself but she always felt like he was watching her wherever she went anyway. It used to be that way with her sister Myrria but she didn't see her sister so much now. She wondered sometimes what she was up to and if she missed Lucia as much as she missed her. She sighed, wondering what her best friend Aeon was up to too. She hadn't seen him since their trip to Glorall. That was the best trip ever! It really made her question joining a pack some day. She wondered how her parents would take that.
She went out exploring in the crags, jumping nimbly from rock to rock and giggling as she sang a song in her head. She glanced around, feeling someone watching her but just figuring it was one of her protective parents or maybe even her secret friend Ghost. The one who taught her Latin always seemed to be watching too. She wondered why she couldn't tell her dad about Ghost but Ghost had specifically told her not to tell anyone or she would stop teaching her and Lucia couldn't have that. Aeon was so excited to find out that she was learning Latin! So she kept her mouth shut. She paused when she saw a large gap in the rocks up ahead, darkness showing from between them. Squinting, she leaned toward the darkness, wondering if she should investigate. But that's when a large furry shape appeared in the entrance, a small growl informing her that it wasn't friendly.
Gasping, she backed up and pricked her ears. Then the bear stood up on its hind legs and roared, making a yelp of fright fall from her lips as she turned to run. She jumped from rock to rock, figuring she could easily lose it that way but she alnded on a loose rock and it slipped. She yelped as she slid, her back paw getting trapped between two rocks. She whimpered and tried to pull herself loose but it was no use. Turning to face the rock, she growled in frustration trying to push and grab the rock. Meanwhile the bear came at her, rushing across the rocks like it was nothing. The next thing she knew, she looked up and saw the bear standing over her, its mouth wide open showing large white teeth. Then it brought its paw up and she saw the long claws. Her ears laid back and her tail tucked. What would happen next?
