Ah, she had been so swift when she had captured it! Beltane had been taken aback by Eve's movements - she had never seen such a display of savagery. The way the snake folded and bent with each shake of her head...ah, Beltane had only been able to watch on in awe as she sauntered through the reeds. She hadn't been following per se but when she had spied the pale woman in the mists, she had been unable to pull herself out of her orbit. After all, Eve had never been a common sight for Beltane but now she had been able to bare witness to the woman's nature. It fascinated her, of course.
It was less caution than it was a hesitancy to interrupt her - the way she observed the snake was a curious thing to the Silvertongue and she didn't wish to distract. Curiosity was a powerful motivator though. She had moved forward towards Eve in silence though she offered the woman a measure more of formal respect than she typically did for, say, the Darkbringer. He demanded but she felt that, perhaps, Eve commanded.
