Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Though he had mated to another and had a family to look after, he never forgot about his imprint, Talien. She was never far from his thoughts. He probably couldnt forget her even if he tried, not that he wanted to. He could feel parts of her emotions. Though most of it was hidden from him, he could pick up on her pain and anger at times when it became too much for her to handle. He hated that something or someone had hurt her. It gave him volatile thoughts that he usually wasnt prone to. She was like a sister but closer. He would always be there for her, a shoulder to cry on or lean on, a listener. Whatever she needed, he would provide cause she was the other half to his soul and there was no getting around that. He knew that she was kind and independent. He had gotten that much from their first meeting. She was falling for someone else and he wished her all the happiness. He had a feeling something had happened to ruin it. She was upset and all he wanted to do was comfort her and take the pain away.

He’d thought about going to Taviora to find her but he didnt want to pressure her to talk to him about it. He wanted her to trust him enough to want to talk to him about it. He hadn’t been able to share his accomplishments with her about Inanna but somehow he was sure she could feel his elation through the bond. He’d beat out her imprint and won her heart and now they had Triton to show for it. He felt like they didnt get to know each other as much as hed like but they could change that now. He wondered what shed been up to and if she had children and a mate yet.

As the sun rose over the horizon, he felt an urgency to get to the borders and he could feel the draw of the bond. He whimpered at the pull, getting up to stretch and nuzzle Inanna and Triton lovingly where they still slept before he trotted out to meet her. She had come all this way so she must be ready to talk. He smiled to himself. He was ready too. A howl rose up from the ocean and he barked back in return, picking up his pace to a lope to get to her that much quicker. When he saw her sitting, he grinned and barked to her again in greeting. “Talien!” His tail wagged behind him as he came up to her. He slowed down, not wanting to crowd her. He looked her over, making sure her coat was nice and glossy and her eyes were bright. They were hiding something, probably pain, but he wouldn’t push. He wanted to comfort her but he couldnt do that by being nosy. She had to want to open up to him. He felt the urge to brush against her or embrace her, to feel their souls connect but he wasnt sure how comfortable she would be with that so he held back, though he shifted his weight in his own discomfort.

“You look well. How has the forest been treating you?” She smelled strongly of Taviora so she must still be a pack member there. He could see the look in her eyes when she looked toward the water so he moved aside, inviting her into the pack. As his imprint, she would always be welcome. He even nudged his head, saying without words that they could walk and talk if she wanted. He even set a path for the water, sure thats where she wanted to be. He knew the ocean had a healing effect. It could be exactly what she needed.
