Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

I can see right through me

I am Diesel.
He was used to seeing confusion on another wolfs face when they approached. He knew it wasnt normal for a wolf to be having a conversation with himself when no one else was around, especially not with different voices and accents. He knew it was confusing and sometimes overwhelming and downright freaky. There was just nothing he could do about it. This was the way they were, the way they always had been as far as he can remember. There was instant suspicion when the male smelled Aster on him and Diesel didnt blame him for his barked words, more a command than a question. He envied him if anything, that he got to feel such things for Aster, possession and protective.
The last thing he had wanted to do was make the male feel like he had anything to protect her from, at least when it came to him. Of course he should have counted on Bandit throwing his two cents in. The minute Bandits Latino accent hit the air, Diesel cringed inwardly, watching the sudden anger in the males eyes. His lips curled and a growl split the air. Bandits hackles raised in response but Diesel thought it best to apologize before things got out of hand. Hopefully they hadn’t already. He bowed his head and said the words, hoping it would be enough.
The minute he told the male what had happened, he saw what looked like pain in the wolfs eyes and his heart went out to him. He may be the one Aster had already chosen to be at her side but as such, that made him a part of her which meant in a way, Diesel was linked to him as well. He didn’t want the male to see him as competition cause as far as he was concerned, the choice had been made before he even came into the picture. He didnt know what had happened, why he seemed hurt all of a sudden, or why h wasnt with Aster now. All that mattered was that he was able to do his part and help his imprint.
The male used a minute to compose himself before confirming his identity. So this was in fact Halcyon, her mate. Diesel nodded in acknowledgement. Then he asked who Diesel was and despite himself, he chuckled lightly and shook his head.
”THATS A COMPLICATED QUESTION.
He admitted. It wasnt a lie. Kyra giggled in her high girly voice.
”OH, LET ME! I’M KYRA! AND THEN THERE’S DIESEL, THE MAIN GUY YOURE SPEAKING TO RIGHT NOW. AND THERES THE OLD JERKFACE, BANDIT. AND SWEET MAGNOLIA. AND THE GUY WHO DOESNT SPEAK WHEN HES NOT IN CHARGE, ORB. HES NOT HERE RIGHT NOW.”
She puffed up, all proud of herself for getting to introduce them. She had never gotten a chance to do that before. Diesel smiled at her before looking back at Halcyon.
”THATS IT IN A NUTSHELL, I SUPPOSE. SHE SENT ME BECAUSE I WANT TO HELP. YOUR MATE.....IS MY IMPRINT.”
There, hed said it. He was sure, in a way, this is what Halcyon was waiting for. Anything else would just be dancing around the obvious. The next question would have been why did he want to help and why did he care. This answered all those unspoken questions. And now he would get Halcyons true reaction to the news put before him. He braced himself, just in case. He wouldn’t fight back but he would defend himself the best he could. It was understandable for Halcyon to be angry but it wasnt like hed asked for the bond he shared with Aster.
