The water felt good to Badar even if her heart was tickled ever so slightly with the nervousness that came with something new. Her mind focused on the task at hand, the excitement of doing much more than any story or verbal lesson - had their parents been keeping their older siblings aside? If they were, Badar had to ask why! Of all her siblings, she had already decided that Erebos lingered at the top as far as favorites went. Part of her wished Zion and Eva were with them to learn swimming too but...well, another part of her was glad she and Eira had their special thing now.
She stayed close to Erebos even when Eira moved away - she watched eagerly as her sister moved on her own but her eyes shot wide open when she suddenly disappeared beneath the water. Without words to help her, Badar could only feel her heart pound as she struggled to stay afloat and paw at Erebos desperately. Help her! She commanded with her silence but came to a complete pause - half way up Erebos' back - when she heard her sister rise again and cough.
She eyed Erebos suspiciously for a moment. Was that part of swimming? Slowly though, she allowed herself to slide back into the water and away from Erebos with a small, forgiving smile. Then she paddled out towards Eira, wobbly but surprisingly effecient as she hurriedly sniffed over her sister - was she injured? Was she okay? Had she suddenly become ill? As she swirled and swam around her sister, it hadn't yet occurred to Badar that she might have found her calling in life so soon.
