He felt a sense of accomplishment in the alpha's need to reward him, but what did he want? He tilted his head, brows furrowed as he thought about it. What did he desire that she might be able to give him? Then he smirked. "I like to stay busy. Give me jobs to do. People to kill. My sister isn't the only one who likes to collect hearts; she's just more obvious about it." He rolled his eyes. "I have cunning where's she's anything but subtle." He sighed. "I also desire a higher rank at some point but I'm willing to keep working toward that. I could be a warrior but I see where you might want wolves like that big guy there. I don't see myself as just an advisor, not enough in the thick of it." He knew she wasn't much of a talker so he was actually trying to curb his own chattiness around her.

Suddenly she looked him over and asked for his story. He grinned. "Of course, I do. Mom was a cannibal; dad was a vampire. They were wanderers so not long after me and my brother Kronos were born, they poppped out a few more kids then disappeared. I grew up with my brother Kronos for a year or so before he disappeared too. I lived here, actually, when the Monster was in charge. She trained me to fight. I left Moladian for a few years and when I came back, I joined Iromar. I never got a rank even though I practically did everything for the swamp queen, Pine. I tortured an assassin almost to death that killed a pack member and trained her to fight a little. Then she went and lost a fight." He shook his head. "I brought my new mate Belhara here then and of course, you know the rest from there." He shrugged.

Then she asked about his nature and he tilted his head, thinking for a minute. "My nature....is pretty simple. I think so, anyway. I'm ambitious but I don't want a throne. I just want to know I was in the shadows, helping make something happen. I like power as much as any wolf, but too much of anything is a bad thing. I got my mate. I got my pack. I got purpose. I like causing a little chaos out in the world. It's entertaining to watch it all fall apart."
