There was no point in getting upset at the pain of others. All that could do was drive one into a tizzy with some odd need to try and fix everything such as the White King or even Zelda. The noble hearts of Molodian. Blackthorne does not suspect such a heart inside the cold shell of Loki. No, Loki seemed almost confused about the whole situation but not at all disgusted by it. What he needed was someone to breath life into that obsidian organ. The Darkbringer would do that, he decides. Show Loki what he was missing. It had to be there the same way it lurked in each of their family member. Even Underidge had it. He just utilized it incorrectly, focusing on some phantom god.

The only god in Blackthorne's eyes was himself.

The odds of running into some lost, unknown family member had seemed slim to the Darkbringer yet here they were. What was the purpose of it? Divine intervention? Had Beltane foretold of this chance meeting? He would seek out the seer when he returned to the moorland with Loki at his heels, quite puzzled by the whole scenario. That did not stop him from considering where things were bound to go.

If he did not know of Loki then perhaps his father did not either. Wouldn't that be a trap to be sprung? Blackthorne gives a grunt of a laugh, a choked sound. "He doesn't talk alot," he corrects though it is with a decidedly disgusted air. He wouldn't go so far just yet to tell Loki about the Shade business. That would just put a damper on things if he had to kill his own Uncle because the beast agreed with his father.

After spouting off the tenants for life in Iromar Blackthorne offers a smooth, foxy-like grin to Loki. "Exactly," he agrees. At least his family wasn't dumb. That accounted for something. While Blackthorne was prone to his monologues, it wasn't without purpose. Loki needed a push or perhaps he hid behind what society told him: quell the darkness. Look to the light. Who needed the light when the dark was so fun to play in?

Enderly and Eris. But not always with Eris. Did that mean Eris was his granddam? He continues to listen. His brows furrow as a dark cloud of anger but also wicked delight combs across his maw. "Umbra.." He breaths the name. Who was this Shadow though? And why had Umbra killed Enderly? Did she know about their family tree? The thought irritates him, that she might know more than him, that Underidge could have offered information to one who had no use for it. He doubted Matianak had been the one to kill Enderly or else she would have boasted about it to him more like than not.

Suddenly Thorne barks another laugh, this one more amused. "Crazy is a little tame for what my father is. A right piece of work. But I don't think you should have to worry about him for the moment. What do you plan to do to the one who killed your father?" He was curious, eager almost. If Loki desired vengeance then Thorne would guide him from the shadows towards his despised sister but make sure to keep his distance lest Matianak suspect him of guiding one to her own proclaimed target.

What mischief this family could get into.
