News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

Well, finding Maude had not gone how I planned. You spend nearly a year hunting a person down just to make sure they're still alive and doing well and you would think they'd be a little more grateful. I suppose, strictly speaking, I might have been a little less accusatory, but how the hell was I supposed to react to the fact that she’d run away making our entire family think that she was dead only to find out she’d been knocked up by some some asshat with a limp and the guy hadn’t even made her his mate?! It still made me want to rip his bum leg off just thinking about it. What kind of creep didn’t commit until the big brother came sniffing around?

I know what you’re thinking; real rich coming from a guy like me, but this is different! Maude is my sister and she doesn’t have the best track record with wolves of the opposite sex. In fact she has three absolute disastrous relationships under her belt. Can you really blame me for thinking she’d gone and gotten herself fleeced again? I mean, it wasn’t always her fault, truth be told, she hadn’t always been so surly and obnoxious. At one point she’d even been sweet. If only she managed to shake her eagerness for affection and maybe she wouldn’t be in this situation. I mean damn, she was six years old, you would think the girl would know better by now.

In any case, two against one in an argument about emotions and love was not where I wanted to be. I wouldn’t say I ran so much as excused myself hastily after the gimpy black beast got growly and Maude recovered from her shock at the guy’s declaration. If it was the truth and not just some kneejerk jerk reaction, then I guess I was happy for the little anklebiter. But like I said; not the greatest track record. Once I made it clear of Diveen lands, I lingered in the fields for an hour or so, wondering at the odds of finding her at the very first pack I’d stopped at. Then again my abilities and logic and reason were rather astounding at times. But now what? I had found my sister but had come no closer to solving what I suppose might be considered a midlife crisis bordering on existential. Sure I still dabbled in flirting here and there but it didn’t hold the same thrill as it once had. At first I’d just thought that the ladies were getting boring but now that I was in a new land with new ladies...life sucked.

Grumbling under my breath about ungrateful sisters I tried to think of where to go and what to do next. How exactly did a man go about finding new direction in life? How did anyone for that matter? Short of having a new life path walk right up and slap me in the face, I really had no idea where to start. It wasn’t until I reached the valley that it occurred to me to ask someone who might know. She’d seemed just as lost as I’d been when I found her in a puddle in the valley. Now she’d gone off to the mountains to reconcile with her family. That counted as a new direction, right? Right.

Time to find Jubilee.

She was a strange woman, certainly not like the girls I was used to having simper at me. She was quiet and spoke in half riddles that made me think. I’m not really sure if I like thinking that much but the fact of the matter is that despite the fact that I don’t feel instantly compelled to flirt with her like some puffed up jaybird, I like her company. She’d done her best to minimize scaring and at the very least had kept the infection away with her weird little pouch. Maybe she knew a think or two about how to figure life out. If not, maybe she’d feel sorry for me and let me lurk around a bit until I figured it out or just went home and let Mum figure my life out for me as she’d threatened to do so many times before.

The trek to Spirane was a bit of a convoluted one. Moladion was a strange place filled with political intrigue that I had no interest in being a part of. I was just here for my sister and maybe a bit of direction or inspiration. Hell, at this point I’d be happy just to find pleasure in being a romancer again. Eventually I found my way to the stream to the North of the mountain and hovered just outside the mark boundary of Spirane. I was arrogant but I wasn’t stupid. Sending out a call to perhaps the only friend I had in Moladion at the moment, I settled myself--naturally in good lightly and to the best advantage--and waited. I had no doubt she would come to me. Why wouldn’t she?
