Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

His excitement was...unexpected. New, in fact. It made her take pause, her eyes narrowed in contemplation as he theorized about what might be there. Then, a rather rare thing really, she grinned, a devious little thing with all teeth and excitement. "Yes! Exactly like that. Or something even better than it buried it here." She flashed her teeth in a playful 'threat', mimicking whatever horrid beast might have buried their prize...no, her prize. Siren's prize. It'd only make the prize better for her mother if something more dangerous than any of them had buried it there. Yes! Her mother would love that.

But that wasn't to say she hadn't already grown rather...fond of the other boy. He wasn't like Itchy Ears or her nasty brother. He seemed eager to explore what she had found too which only served to make her feel more positively towards him - ah, he made her feel like she had done something brilliant. But she'd not let that get in the way of her prize. Besides, he could turn on her any moment like the others had too. So she did her best to act cool, relaxed, composed. Small nods, subtle looks. The whole act.

"It must be big then," she responded simply to him finding a place to dig and as he began to rip into the sand, she did so too. She held back though - always with a watchful eye on Triton as he dug deeper and deeper than she. After all, why waste all her energy digging it up when she'd need to be able to pull it apart and drag it back home? But her excitement when he chirped about finding it was real. She practically jumped out of her skin as she pounced towards him, hungry eyes and wide toothed grin. She was ravenous to see what he had discovered!

"Yes! Just a few more inches..." She cooed as her feet flexed in the sand where Triton had dug. "See? You're so good at this! You could be the best in Glorall, see?" She gave a few furious paws at the sand until it peeled back to reveal the dry, dark skin of what lay beneath. Instantly, she pressed her nose into it and huffed deeply, breathing in the old, musty meat and then - ah! - and then she remembered he was there.

In a moment, she cleared her throat and stepped back. She adjusted herself, offered a small grin as she quickly pawed away the sand from her nose. "Ah, yes. There it is. Well, now...now we know how far to dig down." She cleared her throat again and then she began to paw at the sand in front of her, hopeful he would...excuse her moment of obsession.
