Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Pretty much anything excited him now a days. It was his usual reaction, especially when it was an activity he could do with other wolves. He really was a social creature. She grinned back at him and he wagged his tail. She agreed with him and said that something even better might have buried it here. He gasped and barked in eagerness. "You're right! Then there might be a clue as to who or what buried it here!" He was all about all the options. She flashed her teeth but he took it only as an excited grin, not catching the undercurrent of threat underneath. For why would she would want to threaten him? She his new friend! He wouldn't think to take whatever was buried here or give it to anyone. He'd gladly give it over to Ruby because she found it first and why not? He loved to share!

She seemed friendly enough to him, like she liked his company and his positive energy. He liked to think it made him easily likable to begin with. He was definitely all for her being the brains of the outfit cause he didn't mind sharing the fame. He didn't have an aggressive bone in his body, though he was rather protective over those he cared about. He just wasn't old enough and hadn't been put in a situation yet to have to use it. She seemed so calm, cool, and collected. He admired that about her. She would be a great friend! Maybe some of that would rub off on him. She said that it must be big and he nodded his head. "Huge, I bet." He was excited to see just what it was.

She started digging with him but when he glanced up, it looked like she wasn't going at it as hard as he was. He didn't think to say anything about it though. Maybe she was tired or maybe she didn't want to get her paws dirty or something. He didn't have any siblings to know a lot about girls. His only experiences so far were with Samia and Mat and the few other friends he'd made in Moladian that were female but he wasn't around them enough to know how they thought. For all he knew, she just wasn't a strong digger. That was a thing, right? Either way, he wouldn't hold it against her. He only dug in harder to his own hole, wanting to show that he was a team player and he didn't mind pulling both of their weights just so they could see what was buried down here.

The moment he said he'd found something, she was excited though. He could practically taste her excitement in the air. She grinned and pounced toward him, eager to see it so he kept digging harder, his breaths coming in pants but he wouldn't give up. Whatever it was, it was buried pretty deep and his muscles were crying out but he would worry about the soreness later. For now, he was making friends. She coaxed him on and he nodded, putting all his attention into the digging. He didn't want to let her down. She complimented him, saying he could be the best and he grinned, his brows lifting. "Really? Thanks!" He said between sharp breaths. As he made it to the carcass, he stepped back to let her look, his ears pricking as she pawed at the skin and stuck her nose down to it. His brow quirked and he tilted his head curiously, but then she lifted her head as if just remembering he was there.

She cleared her throat and stepped back and he only offered a sheepish grin as if apologizing for being there. "So..what do you want to do with it now?" He offered. She pawed the sand away from her nose and he chuckled lightly, reaching his paw up to move a little bit off where she'd missed it. "You missed a spot. There." He muttered before grinning sheepishly again and stepping back in case she wanted her space. His breaths were still coming in pants but his muscles were screaming in the good sore way. The way that meant he achieved something. He was okay with it. She said now they would know how far to dig down and he looked back down at the hole then back at her and nodded. "Yep, it's pretty far, but I guess we showed it, huh?" His eyes twinkled.

She started to paw at the ground and he stepped over to a new spot. "We're going to dig this whole thing up today. I can feel it!" He encouraged her before starting a new hole. He didn't care that he was already aching and out of breath. It seems he'd do just about anything to impress a girl.
