Kajika
Kajika had been doing his best to keep busy. Winter was upon them, and with it same the snows blanketing the plains. It did not seem a harsh winter, but the chill was in the air. That didn't stop him from prowling Asteraia's borders. The brindled and white boy had watched from afar when the stranger challenged the Pharaoh. He did not get close enough to hear what the white and russet brute had said, but he felt certain that they would see him again. It worried Kajika that there might be someone to be out for Sekhmet.
He had even tracked the scent trail for a time. It was more to keep himself occupied than out of any personal or professional gain. The dual colored youth frowned. The encroacher had gone north. Kajika had lingered near Asteraia's northern border for a few days. His cerulean gaze watched the horizon intently. Whoever the beast was, he was only somewhat foolish to have stayed away after his defeat. All the better.
When he was certain there would not be a return any time soon, the boy had returned to the western border. There were trees there. He had taken to enjoyed being perched up higher to watch from above. He had contemplated the possibilities of moving from tree to tree. He was lighter than his tree climbing teacher, Cuirass. It made for an interesting notion. Kajika was already making the quick dash, jumping and flexing his paws expertly and digging his nails into the tree bark and hopping to the branch.
Kajika carefully hopped up to another branch that was nearer to another tree. His eyes surveyed the space between where the branches barely touched. He knew both branches would support his weight as he had climbed both of these trees before, but would he never know unless he tried. The brindled male moved as far along the branch he could with care. He crouched, tensing his muscles in preparation for the rather experimental leap that he had know way of knowing would succeed...
