It’s been so long since she had seen a familiar face. Once again, the conflicted femme was alone; and once again she was far from home. It was necessary for her to leave and find residence elsewhere. She needed to keep herself distanced from her family, more so her youngest half-sibling, to lower their risk of being hurt. She knew that eventually, that day would dawn upon them, if not by her own teeth then by her companion's. Sekh was beloved by Imbra and yet unpredictable; something that was proven up until the day that Imbra had left. Things were changing too quickly and she needed to remove herself from their future to ensure that they actually were given one.

Now she finds herself here at the jaws of a cavern much like the one from back home. It is more foreboding than the crypt she knew so well, with a dark energy billowing from the entrance like thickened smoke. The beauty of the pillars that stand guard at each side bear a striking contrast against the dismal scene. Above her head and high over the treetops roll dark gray clouds that threaten to bring violence with a low rumble. A white flash lights up briefly in the distance as the heart of the storm creeps nearer with every passing moment that she hesitates.

With a final resolve hardened upon her delicate face, she steps forward into the waning light of the cavity. She is cautious at first, an instinctual habit when discovering a strange place, but settles into a calmness as she adjusts to her new surroundings. It is just as secure and welcoming as the cavernous den of her old home, despite its ominous overcast. As she navigates deeper into the labyrinth of stone the thunderous cloud from before has become louder and almost deafening as it echoes far into the crevasse. With her ears pinned back, she searches for someplace quiet and secluded within the familiar darkness.
