Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

MEN SHOULD KEEP THEIR WORD,

Becoming a father had turned out to be more tiring than the male had anticipated. The family’s unique sleep schedule didn’t help much either. He was not bothered by the fact that his mate had to turn into a vampire in order to save her life, but it did change their lifestyle. Grey Wind would do anything for Macaria, and had already changed many aspects of his life style for her, but it didn’t bother him. Relationships that were meant to last were not easy and always happy. It meant both parties had to sacrifice things for the other, and both he and his mate had done just that. Sure there were some aspects of their life that he didn’t like, like the fact that she was not entirely monogamous, but it was who she was. He would rather have her the way that he did than not at all. Macaria knew that he didn’t like when she was with another, and so she never rubbed it in his face. But he knew what was going on when she would leave for a time, but he also knew that she would come back to him. She didn’t love the others like she loved him, and that was what was most important to Grey Wind.

But now that they had a family it was different. Seeing their young, seeing himself and his mate in their features…made him love Macaria even more. It didn’t matter that they had a bad start…with him kidnapping her. It didn’t matter that she had become addicted to poppy and become a cannibal…it didn’t matter that she laid with others…it didn’t matter that she was now a vampire. They had a family. A beautiful family that he loved more than he thought possible. Before they were born Grey Wind thought that he would grow bored being cooped up with his young, but he could sit and watch the pups for days on end and never grow tired. Their small forms had grown bigger and now were old enough to be up and about, their eyes opened to the vast world around them. It made things more interesting now that they were more mobile, and also more nerve wracking. He grew anxious if he couldn’t see them all, and worried about what would happen if one wandered off too far and couldn’t find their way back home. But so far that had not happened, even when they ran off on their short adventures. They always came back to the den.

But being a father did change his relationship with Macaria. Before the pups he and his mate would make love often and in different ways. Gentle…rough…slow…fast…all ways. But now that there were four young pups in their den it didn’t feel right to have sex. But that didn’t stop him from having the needs that he had, and sometimes he grew frustrated by it. But it was worth being a father, even when he wanted nothing more than to take his mate as he used to do. But one evening when he awoke from a nap with the family, his yellow gaze looked around the den to realize that none of the pups were with them. A moment of panic filled him at first, and the scaled brute stood slowly, moving away from his mate and he put his head outside the den. A sigh of relief escaped him when he saw all four pups together, playing and exploring the nearby trees. It was still early in the evening, and they would be able to occupy themselves for a while now.

When Grey Wind knew that the pups were safe, he fell back into the den, a growl of need escaping his throat as he approached his mate. Normally he would wake her first, have some time with foreplay and teasing, but he didn’t want to risk the pups coming back in, and she he decided to wake her up in an intimate way. The pair had been curled up near each other, so it took some shuffling to give himself room behind her, but eventually he got to where he could easy access her. Despite the lack of foreplay and touching, just the thought of having her again was enough for him to be ready, and with a growl he entered her. It took Macaria a few moments to wake, and as she did Grey Wind had already set a pace for them. He was draped across her, his jaws reaching forward to grasp her scruff as he moved in ways that he knew she loved. But her reaction was not at all that he had expected. She bucked beneath him, scrambling as if she was panicked. He thought maybe it was because he had surprised her, and so he went to her ear, licking at her as he spoke in husky vocals. ”Relax love. The pups are away. We finally have some time alone.” The words that she returned to him were not what he expected at all though. "Get off me you brute! Mommy! Daddy! Help! Aindreas! Please just leave me alone!" Macaria had never reacted in such a way…and the name he called for was not something he at all expected. Why was she calling for an alpha of another pack…and she did not like her parents so why would those words come out of her either.

No longer in the mood at all…and annoyed that she had ruined one of their few moments alone, he dismounted from her, backing away as she scrambled away from him. ”What the hell is wrong with you?? Our one moment together and you call for someone else? Really, Macaria?” Normally he would not be so annoyed with her, but lack of sleep as a father and pent up frustration had tipped him to anger. His yellow orbs blazed with annoyance, but not real anger to his mate. ”I didn’t realize you detested me now.” There was an edge of hurt in his vocals, confused by her actions…waiting to see what explanation she had.
