Jumped a large animal on the edge of the woods in Dover, NH. Suspecting a deer I approached it. Shocked as a large cat jumped onto a fallen tree limb I stepped back. I was able to see the complete body as well as the 3 foot tail. We both paused for a moment and then my beagle came within range and began to bark. The animal then leapt off the log and retreated into the woods. Replies: There have been no replies.
