Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

He could read the instant confusion on Triton's features as he got closer and he chastised himself on the inside for not explaining more about imprints. Of course Triton would be suspicious. He wasn't around a lot of females and especially wasn't as comfortable with them as he was around Talien and Triton would pick up on that. He was very observant and always had been. But now was as good a time as any.

He hadn't meant to hurt Talien's feelings but he felt the sting the minute she shrunk back a little and her hackles bristled. His face immediately softened, his eyes apologetic as he ducked his head. "I'm sorry for how that came out, Talien. I know there's more to it than just....I'm really sorry." He didn't know what else to say. She must love this wolf and so of course she would give into him. It was the male Thor was pissed at, not her. The male obviously played with her heart. He was a coward and he shouldn't have played with her like that. But talking ill of him would only hurt Talien. He needed to get his anger in check. He didn't know what all happened but that shouldn't be his concern. Talien was. As his imprint, she meant more to him than any of the rest of it. He tried to lighten the mood by telling her how he kept his coat shiny and free of all the salt. She laughed and he felt a little better, hoping she would forgive him for his outburst.

When she teased him about his toes, he gasped and looked down, flexing his paws as if to check. Then he chuckled and smirked at her. "You got me. But I've still got good eyes and I don't see anything but silky black fur between these toes." He gave her a boyish grin. By then Triton had wandered up and she smiled at him earnestly as he approached. Thor hated that he was so wary but was sure Talien would win him over in no time. She told him that she was a friend alone and he nodded in agreement, smiling warmly at his son. Then she started to explain what imprints meant and he watched her patiently. She seemed to be explaining it well enough. He nodded once more when Triton glanced his way, letting him know that indeed she was like a sister to him. He smiled as she dipped her head, telling Triton he spoke big of them. Then she told him that she had children about his age and he could meet them if him and Inanna approved.

He smiled at the prospect. "I'm sure Inanna wouldn't mind." He knew Triton loved to meet new wolves. She brought up that Nenetl loved to meet new wolves too. He looked to Triton. "Does that sound like a plan, son? Would you like to go on a trip to Taviora?" He was sure Triton would love the adventure.
