Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.

All that glitters is gold; don't believe what you've been told. For all her young life, authority had never been something to question. It was steady and source of safety for those covered under it’s expansive umbrella, but it came at a cost. There was work to be done to maintain the rigidity of the structure starting from the bottom up, so that those at the top did not teeter or falter. If they did the consequences could range from mildly irritating to something lethal for those below. As a pup one was shielded from this responsibility entirely, though only at first. Over time it would be part curiosity and also teaching that would slowly move them to join the ranks. Some moved early, some fast, some rather slowly, and other never at all. For the pallid princess it had been the combination of her own curiosity and steadfast loyalty to learning that had driven her out of puphood early on. There was this incessant drive to know what something was, how is worked, and why it did what it did. Always first to ask, Pierce had always willingly proffered up the answer or told her a story. There had little subject matter that was not allowed to be asked of, mainly that being her biological mother or her father’s relations with Athene. Sabelle had respected her father’s authority to declare these subject unwarranted and had left it be for years. Until she had been asked to bear the burden of that protective umbrella herself. Sabelle in no time flat after being ripped away from Blossom Forest, Spring Grounds, and especially Athene, was forced to grow up. She left that ideallic puppyish world for her adolescent years, but even those were short lived. Before she’d ever matured fully into an adult Sabelle had stepped into motherhood, leaving her conflicted over the whole idea. It was beautiful, but she had lost her innocence before she even realized that who she loved was not the one she was expected to love. Sabelle had skimmed through her maturing stages thus leaving her to struggle now as an adult with the consequences. On the outside she might have seemed together and capable, but what most didn’t see what her inability to handle her own emotions. Shoving everything into a box in the corner of her heart was not solving anything. The worst part for her though was the burden of her Father’s pride and opinion. This was the one time Sabelle’s curiosity had gotten her stuck in a hole she could not escape, and now it was to fruition how terribly deep it was, because Athene had reacted much worse than she had anticipated. Hazel optic watched as fur bristled along Athene’s spine and she shied away from the femme’s ever harsher lyrics. Her eyes narrowed, unsettled by the threatening stance that was taken against her. I had no foul intent by asking you about the purpose to the trials, Athene. I merely wanted to know more. I was not raised without manners and I will respect that you chose to live a life so differently from anything I have ever known, but I will not tolerate being berated like a pup caught with their paw in someone else’s dinner. Sabelle’s voice was resilient and cool, but was laced with indignation. I sought the answers from my own father, but it wasn’t for years until he shared the sentiment he had for your lifestyle. It was not pretty to say the least, but I did not let it sway my judgement on your character. I strived to be fair and balanced in how I view the world, so I thought that maybe you could offer an explanation, without retribution. You are to do as you want with your own offspring and I won’t say another word of it. I may be Pierce’s daughter, but I do not hold his sentiments. Sabelle walked effortlessly matching stride for stride with Athene, not wanting to further cut into, what was clearly as sore subject for her mother. Eventually the conversation turned to pack life and what was clearly going to be a hard sell on Sabelle. Athene said hardly a word on the subject and merely shrugged. Athene seemed to be feigning indifference or thinking that she ought to realize that there were truly more benefits as a pack member than loner. She sighed quietly, it was not a matter of the facts that laid within the pack lifestyle. Sabelle knew that filled ranks meant greater security for herself. It was a place to come back and rest within, no worry of the creatures that stalked the night. She could have the chance to settle down and find someone, maybe have pups or rather adopt in her case. Although she did not think it hard to find a male who could implant their seed within her so that she might once more have the chance to raise pups. And this time, she would finish the job. Athene seemed to replicate the sentiment that she was in fact fairly useless outside of a pack domain, but she would not force it upon her. I ask for this information not to be told what I already know, but to know your experience within it. I trust your judgement to pick a strong Alpha, but I need more than just my own assumptions. What is it in your Alpha that keeps your there? What cause or strength did he have that you could not see in another? I want to know your personal reasons Athene. Glazed hazel optics glanced sideways at contrasting honey orbs. Sabelle was demanding that Athene respect her enough to share something exclusive to her own thoughts. Any Alpha could tell Sabelle that they were the pack she was looking for, but the soft hued heiress put more weight into Athene’s choices, but now that she was adult she wanted to understand why? And not just be told to do it just because. People lie, people love, people go, but beauty lies in every soul.
